Day Off (SU)

James knocked twice and then opened the door. He saw a figure lying on the bed covered in a white blanket.

"Your mom told me to go right up." He said. "Why aren't you at practice?"

Of course she knew at once who was speaking.

Nadine peaked from under her blanket and pouted.

"My body's sore all over!" She said.

James looked at her in concern and approach her bed.

"Why? What have you been doing?" He asked as he sat at the end of Nadine's bed.

"Just the same as always... I don't really know why I'm aching all over... I've been dancing for half of my life..." She groaned, looking at James.

"But why are you here, James? You didn't go to practice, too?" Nadine asked.

James sighed, "Well, truth be told, my body's aching all over too..." He said.

"Are you okay? You're not getting sick again, are you?" Nadine said, sitting straight up.

James chuckled. "I'm fine. Worrywart."

Nadine looked at James and realized he does look tired. Well, she really couldn't help but worry about him. For someone who's loyal to his healthy way of living, James is really sickly.

But nevertheless, she smiled at him and patted the space next to her. "Wanna lie for a while?"

James looked at Nadine.

"Nadz, your dad will kill me." He deadpanned. It was a very tempting offer... but the consequences...

But Nadine just shrugged it off and said, "You're safe, mom loves you and dad's afraid of mom."

Her dad and James had been very chummy when they've worked together in their commercial, but... well, that time they were still just a love team.

She patted the space once more.

James sighed but smiled at Nadine as he stood up and went over beside her.

Nadine scooted to the side to give room to James. She tried to share her blanket with James but he refused. Instead, he lied beside a blanket-covered Nadine.

"Naddie, your dad is a scary man." He said. It wasn't like it was the first time every that they'd lie besides each other. But he was in Tito Dong's territory. Better be safe than sorry.

Nadine tried not to laugh.

"I wanted to cuddle!" She said with a pout and acted put out even though James could clearly see the twinkle of mischief in her eyes.

James laughed and placed his arms around Nadine along with the blanket.

"We can still cuddle." He said and Nadine smiled.

James closed his eyes savoring the much awaited and well-earned rest and of course, Nadine's embrace.

"Thanks for visiting me... I'm sorry if I worried you..." Nadine whispered.

James smiled sleepily.

"Thanks for making an excuse for the both of us." He said as he cuddle more into Nadine, getting comfortable.

Nadine laughed. James just knew her all too well.

AN: really wouldn't happen in rl since both of them are very dedicated to their work. this is just my wishful thinking cause i'm a little worried about how busy they are these days. I know viva is taking care of them and would make sure they don't overexert themselves and I know they are enjoying and is very thankful of the work given to them, but all the same. I can't help but worry a bit. /shot
