It wasn't easy. Nadine couldn't believe it, but they've become even busier these days there's literally no time to sleep. Of course, Nadine is really grateful for all the projects given to her, to them. But still, she'd like to rest even for a while.

They have to go to Surigao soon, and she's barely awake. She's just looking forward to squeezing in some sleep on the plane.

Both she and James went straight to their seats after boarding the plane. Nadine leaned her head onto James' shoulder once they were seated and James automatically leaned his head on hers. Nadine was already dozing off but then she was rudely awakened.

A phone rang. It was coming from one of the passengers--a girl, close to them. She answered her phone and started talking very loudly.

Nadine tried to ignore it and get some sleep but she just couldn't. She was too loud. It was a long conversation but thankfully, just before Nadine could go crazy, the attendants advised the passengers to turn off their phones as the plane is about to take off.

Nadine was at peace again. She tried sleeping again as the plane started moving.

But then there was another disturbance.

The same girl started singing in a loud voice. Nadine registered it was one of the famous novelty songs today. It was very upbeat and catchy, and it does not inspire sleep at all.

Nadine was starting to lose her patience. She wasn't stopping and she's even clapping with the song's beat.

Nadine even started covering her ears, but the girl just kept on singing and Nadine just couldn't block her voice.

Nadine didn't realize her brows were furrowed until James tried to iron it straight.

"Naddie..." He coaxed.

"James... I can't sleep." She complained.

James suddenly hugged her. Well, it was almost a hug; he placed his head on top of her shoulder and her head on top of his, their cheeks kissing.

Their position was more comfortable for Nadine now only she could still hear the girl's voice.

But then James started singing in her ear. His voice was very soft, he was almost whispering.

"And I've got all that I need
Right here in the passenger seat
Oh and I can't keep my eyes on the road
Knowing that she's inches from me..."

Nadine could still hear the girl's voice but it wasn't as annoying as before. It was as if her sense of hearing were focusing solely on James' voice. Even if he wasn't singing, his voice always calms her down. It was music to her ears.

She smiled at the thought, she must really love James-she was becoming mushy.

Nadine sighed in content against James.

"Thank you." She whispered.

And without realizing it, Nadine started dozing off.

END.
