Cravings (AU)

James Reid closed his eyes feeling the cold wind on his face. It was a cloudy day, so he had went to the rooftop now that it was their lunch break. They are sensitive to the sun, however sunlight will only cause burns and not actually harm them dangerously.

From the rooftop, he could see the students from the other side of the building; the university-prep students.

He watched them, having nothing else to do. There was a group of girls by the veranda, talking and laughing. The boys from one of the classroom was drawing something in the blackboard. Some were eating their lunch, but most of the seats were vacated. Just an ordinary day for the uni-prep.

James perked up when one of the girls from the veranda pointed at him. The girls started waving and calling to him. Sighing, he waved back once and then turned his back on them. He better move to somewhere he can't easily be seen. The uni-prep students are just too excited when they saw one of the special students. Well, they were basically 'idols' and it wasn't like the other students could walk over them and talk to them.

The school's building is actually divided into two; the left and right wing. There are also two gates and two entrance. The school separates the uni-prep students from the special students. The special students even have their own cafeteria, and their own hallways. Uni-prep students will be able to see them pass by as class change but they wouldn't be able to come near them. James thought about it, and came to realize that the only neutral grounds - where both special students and uni-prep students can go - is the library and the greenhouse.

These division isn't common knowledge. James bet some of the students even attended their school thinking they could be in the same class as the special students, but it won't happen. It was for their own protection, anyway, since accidents can happen. This is especially since their batch came. Their batch has the most Level A the school has seen. They have six purebloods in their year. The second year, on the other hand, have Janella Salvador and the first years only have Bailey May and Ylona Garcia.

James reached out to his throat as he sat by the other side of the rooftop. He felt thirsty.

"It's rare to see you up here."

James turned to the voice and smiled as he looked at Nadine Lustre.

"The same goes for you." He said.

She shrugged and made her way towards him. "It's a nice day." She said.

"True." James said as Nadine sat next to him.

James coughed, feeling much more thirsty now, His heart was pounding as well. He was craving.

"Thirsty?" Nadine asked.

James nodded. "Do you have some tablet? Elmo took all of mine."

Nadine sighed in exasperation as she took a bottle from her pocket. "He's hopeless. Maybe Albie didn't give him enough." She shook the bottle and two pills dropped to her hands. "Here."

James chuckled as he took the pills and swallowed it in an instant. "Or maybe he's still adjusting..." He said in response to her comment.

"Disgusting." He said, referring to the pills.

"He tried to get some from one of the uni-preps." She said exasperatedly. James raised a brow at this.

"JC sorted him out. Dragged him to the fire exit and fed him." She said indifferently.

"What was Albie thinking, giving Elmo as-" she drew quotation marks in the air "-'a gift'?"

"Probably not thinking at all." James chuckled. "You saw that note he wrote."
