How have you remained a one-woman man?

Nadine's POV

"I don't know why people keep tagging me in posts like this."

James suddenly says and I turn to look at him.

"Posts like what?" I asked. So he moved closer to me and showed me his phone. It was that old quote from David Beckham.

"Are they telling me I'm no good and I should take cues from Beckham or are they trying to say that I remind them of Beckham because they think I'm like him?" He asked seriously.

I couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't think about it too much." I said. "Just believe what you want to believe. Dun ka sa positive."

He shrugged and suddenly smirked. "Well, I do like some of his style. Hey Nadz, when we do marry, can we try sleeping the way they do?"

I raised a brow at him at that, but still couldn't resist to smile.

"What are you talking about, James?"

"I don't wanna say. I don't think you'd want me to say it either." He said playfully.

"Not that." I said. I knew what he meant about Beckham's "way of sleeping", but that wasn't what I was saying.

He was grinning now, and I knew he understood what I meant to say.

"Well, you are my best friend." He just says.

I smiled. "I thought Bret is your best friend."

"That's different."

"How different?" We are teasing each other and we both knew it.

"You know how." He said very softly with a knowing smile.

Yes, I know. And I also know the difference between "if" and "when".
