"What's that?" James asked.

Nadine had been drawing for a while now. It was anime characters.

"Kayo. Chibi version." Nadine said, laughing a little. "It just started out as scribbles... but I ended up drawing you guys."

James smiled. "Can I see?"

Nadine nodded and passed him the notebook.

Surely it was them. Chibi Bret, chibi Henz, chibi Jude, and of course chibi James.

"Naddie, why do Henz and Bret have devil horns and tails?" James asked.

Nadine shrugged. "Well, because they're not honest with themselves."

James looked at her, "What do you mean?"

"James, did you know some people admire devils sometimes?"

"Huh?"

"It's because they know how to fight even though they are destined to fall." Nadine said.

"Well, when you say it like that... But do you mean you admire these two?" James asked, confused.

Nadine laughed at his bewildered face.

"No. It's the exact opposite. Honestly, dapat magpakatotoo na 'tong dalawang 'to. Dinadaan sa joke when we all know they're already seeing Yassi and Trish differently." Nadine said.

James laughed now understanding what she meant. Well, he had told her some of what their friends are telling him.

"So that's why Jude and I have angel wings... wait. Why do I have black wings? What?"

Nadine smiled cheekily. "Well, haven't you fallen already? And you didn't fight it at all. Kunyare ka pa na pinigilan mo."

James stopped for a while and then laughed. Hard.

"Naddie, sometimes I just don't get how your mind works." he said.

Nadine laughed, too. "Likewise. But you love me anyways."

"Of course."
