James is annoyed.

He is not having a good day.

He is annoyed with the existence of flu. He is annoyed that Yassi got the flu. He is annoyed that Bret is whipped (He admits he is, too, but that's not the point). And he is annoyed that Yassi plus flu means a worried Bret-- a stupid, worried Bret. And said stupid, worried Bret was caught texting Yassi during class and now is in detention.

And now he is left with his main annoyance: Blake.

It was supposed to be a date, just him and Nadine. He already planned it. Today, both of them have free time. It was perfect. But no, they have to ruin it.

As Bret and Blake's parents were out of town, Bret was left with the responsibility of taking care of his seven years old brother. But now that the stup-Bret is in detention, him being the boy's best friend now held responsibility for the little devi--boy.

James loves Blake, really. He considers him his own brother. Taking care of him is no problem. But taking care of him during a once-in-a-blue-moon date is another thing. And he crushing on his Nadine is definitely a different thing. And Nadine adoring him just does it.

This was supposed to be his and Naddie's date! Not Naddie's date with Blake where he is the chaperon and the sponsor!

Earlier, Nadine asked Blake where he wanted to go. He said he wanted to go to an amusement park so all James' plans was already ruined. And now, they are at the bus stop.

The two was still chatting happily, while he, James, was apparently forgotten.

The bus they rode on was full so James saved Nadine a seat.

She beamed at him, kissed his cheek and took the seat graciously.

James was feeling better but Nadine just had to let Blake sit on her lap.

When they got to the amusement park, James bought three tickets for them. Nadine hugged him and thanked him. Blake also thanked him but he wasn't looking him straight in the eye. It was as if he's guilty of something. Well, he should know Nadine is his!

But this didn't stop Blake from clinging to Nadine. In fact, it seems he wants Nadine all to himself. During rides, he would sit only with Nadine, leaving James quite alone. When Nadine went to the ladies' room, the little boy said he wants to buy something for his brother and only came back when Nadine came out. It was as if he isn't interested if it was just James.

They took a break and sat on one of the benches.

"Hey, there's an ice cream stand there. Blake, you want one?" Nadine said pointing at the stand.

"Yeah! Let's buy, Naddie!" the boy answered.

'Tch, he's even using my nickname to Nadine.'

They stood up and went to the ice cream stand.

"What flavor do you want?" James asked them.

"Vanilla!" They said together.

It would be cute, but it just infuriated James more.

"Three vanilla ice cream," He said to the vendor .

"I'm sorry, sir, we only have two left."

"Oh. That's okay, you two have them." Nadine said.
