Awkward (SU)

[Setting: first few days of filming DNP. di pa close si Nadz and James and eto yung naiisip ni Nadz nung sinabi niya sa KMJS "Dati po talaga super awkward" 😂]

Nadine lied down the sofa, feeling so very tired. She just wanted to sleep, but she knew if she did, she'd wake up in an hour feeling more tired. She didn't know where the other girls get their energy from. She was alone in their room now, Yassi and the other girls went to explore. They've been filming for hours, and she was just beat.

She was surprised when the door opened and James Reid entered.

He looked surprised to see her there as well.

"I thought you girls went to explore." He said without preamble.

"They did." Nadine said.

"You?" James asked.

"Too tired." She said.

"I thought you boys were sleeping in the other room." She said.

"I was. But then Andre and the others started watching a movie. It's too noisy there. Can I sleep here?" He said in one breath, and not waiting for her answer, he slumped down by the table, lied flat on the floor then and there and drowse off.

Nadine blinked. "Tulog agad. Pagod din siguro talaga 'to." She guessed she couldn't blame him. They had been shooting since the morning.

Shrugging she went back to her own musings earlier, feeling half-asleep, but not letting sleep take her.

Just then, a sound similar to a thunder broke off and she looked sharply to the window to find it wasn't raining.

Another of that sound and she turned sharply to her side to realize it was just James Reid, snoring.

He must really be tired, she thought.

She sighed and just went back to her musing. But she couldn't. The snores were just too loud.

She let out yet another sigh and took out her phone, and listened to some music. She didn't want to wake him up, that would be too mean.

But music wasn't really effective. Sighing again, she sat up. She remembered her mom saying they should turn someone on their side to stop the snoring. So stood up just to do that.

At first she hesitated, wondering if she would wake him if she moved him. But he was in deep sleep, so she decided she'd try at least. She shouldn't have worried. She was already pushing him hard but he was still knocked out. His dead weight was too heavy that Nadine wasn't really having progress.

Letting out a tired sigh, she placed a leg over his as an anchor and started pushing again.

There was another snore and her hand reflexively went to his mouth, stifling the sound.

His eyes shut opened and Nadine groaned.

His body tensed but relaxed somewhat at the sight of her. His face was expressionless, Nadine knew hers was surprised.

And then he said, softly. "You know, in most countries, this would be considered rape."

Nadine felt her face flushed but she tried to keep her cool.

"You were snoring. Ang ingay mo."

"Right." He said. "So, you decided to sit on me."

"I was trying to turn you on your side, idiot." She said, feeling her face go redder.

"One more question." He said.

"Ano?" Nadine said, seriously irritated.

"Why are you still holding me hostage? Clearly, I'm not snoring anymore."

Just then, the door opened.

"James, are--" Andre stopped abruptly, eyes wide. "Er, sorry. Not a good time, huh." And the door shut closed once more.

Nadine hastily got off James, blushing furiously.

She just wanted to strangle James when he started laughing.
