Eleven Percent (SU)

"What are you reading, Naddie?"

Nadine looked up from her magazine. She knew even before she saw him that it was James. He was the only one who calls her 'Naddie' personally. Their fans would refer to her that way, but it was also because of him, and it was mostly just in their memes.

She smiled at him and answered, "Just a magazine."

James looked at the magazine more closely.

"I haven't heard of that magazine before." He said.

Nadine shrugged. "It's not very popular, really. But I like reading it. It's the only magazine where I don't see my friends on. Awesome, right?" She said with a laugh.

James laughed. "It makes you feel like a normal girl, doesn't it?" He said.

Nadine pouted at him. "I am normal."

James looked at her as if saying, 'Yeah, right.'

Nadine pouted more.

James chuckled.

"You're definitely not normal, Naddie. Just accept it." He said and then he smiled. It wasn't as if he was teasing her, it's more like he was complimenting her.

"You're definitely not ordinary for me." He added in a whisper. Nadine heard, but she decided not to comment.

"But this is true." She said, pointing at the magazine and changing the subject.

"What?" James asked, interested.

"It says here that 89% of guys would want girls to make the first move." Nadine read out.

"How can you say that's true?" He asked. It was just simple curiosity.

"Well, look at Zak... He'd have a crush on his girlfriend since they were thirteen and they wouldn't be together now if she didn't made the first move when they were 18."

"Well, he's Zak... He's a reserved guy..." James said, pondering.

"And then there's Bret..." Nadine continued.

"What about him?" James asked.

"I think he likes Ella!" Nadine said, beaming.

"How did you work that out?" James had to ask. He couldn't help but smile. Nadine was getting more and more animated again.

"He always tease her..." Nadine said in explanation.

"I always tease Donna but I don't like her like that. She's just easy to tease..." James said, confused.

"That's different!" Nadine said. "You do it like a friend, he does it like he wants Ella's attention all to himself!"

James looked at her, not entirely convinced.

"I tell you there's something there!" She insisted. "And then there's MJ and Donna..." Nadine added.

"Okay, what about that?" James asked. "MJ is the only guy who doesn't tease Donna."

"That's the point. He doesn't tease her." Nadine said, smiling.

There was a pause.

And then James laughed. "Nadz, you're really confusing me."

"Well, it's a bit complicated... It can't be the same in every case..." Nadine said, laughing as well.

"Too right." James said. "Okay, what about Yassi and Andre?"

"Hm, I think Andre could be part of the 11%... He just needs a bit of a push or else he won't move." Nadine said, pondering.

James let out another chuckle. "You and your matchmaking tendencies... Really, both you and Lauren are the same."

Nadine grinned. "Well, our life is like a drama..."

Nadine smiled teasingly, "And you just said you're a normal girl."

Nadine pouted again. "I am a normal girl. Everyone's life is a bit like a drama..." She said.

"Sure, sure..." James said, standing up.

Nadine frowned more. "You're being sarcastic."

"I'm not, silly." James said, laughing again and then he went right in front of her.

Nadine looked up at him. "James?"

He grinned playfully. And then it was too fast Nadine wasn't sure it happened.

He kissed her.

"Just like you to know, I'm part of the 11%."
