My day and weeks went on after that day which I still treat as one of the best days of my life. Jandro and I seldom see each other in the hotel because he rarely visits even when weeks already had passed.

I heaved a sigh when I failed to see him again.

“Don't worry that much, Lia. Pinangakuan ka naman diba? I'm sure he's working everything for you two” pampalubag-loob ni miss Venice sa gilid ko.

Maybe she saw my frowning face again, the face that I always show every time I fail to see Jandro every single day.

I felt a tap on my shoulder so I turned to look at who it was, “He's gonna be, okay bes. Iyon pa? Hindi ka niya hahayaan, mahal na mahal ka ni boss e” aniya ni Raine na siyang tumapik sa balikat ko.

I pursed my lips as I went to our room department dahil dumating na rin ang papalit sa amin. I left them there pero randam ko ang pagsunod nila sa akin.

“Hindi ka nag-open ng cellphone mo ngayon 'no?” pagsulpot ni Roland sa gilid ko habang inaayos ko ang gamit ko pauwi.

I looked at him confused but still continued to do what I was doing, si nanay lang nakakaintindi sa akin dahil alam kong miss niya na rin ang gunggong na 'yon at saka nagluto siya ng masarap para sa akin.

The last time she saw him was when the day before we went to Batanes. After that, everything vanished like a bubble pop. I should have requested for us to stay longer.

“Hindi, Bakit? I left it in my locker.” tanong ko sa kanya.

He heaved a sigh as he looked at miss Venice behind me kaya sinundan ko naman ang tingin niya.

Miss Venice smiled at me and nodded to Roland before she walked towards me.

“Sige na Roland, ako na ang bahala dito” aniya ni miss Venice at tinanguan ang lalake na nakatungong umalis. There's something going on... He looks worried.

“Sasabay kana sa akin pauwi ha, Amelia?” nakangiting aniya ni miss Venice at hinagod ang likod ko.

I looked at her confusedly but she was just smiling. “Po? Anong oras po ba ang uwi niyo?” nagtatakang tanong ko at saks umupo sa tabi ni miss Venice.

“Sir Jandro's new secretary informed me that you'll have a full shift starting today so wala kang tulog kapag nagkataon so I pleaded na pauwiin ka nalang ng alas dose” aniya ni miss Venice at hinagod ang likod ko, she sounded so worried kaya nakangiti akong bumaling sa kanya at binalik ang bag ko sa locker ko.

I went to miss Venice and tapped her shoulder gently, “We are obliged to follow them miss Venice kaya halika na po” aniya ko at inabot ang kamay ko sa kanya na hinawakan niya naman.

I helped her up before she gave me an unsure smile, “Paano si nanay mo?” nag-alalang tanong niya pero ngumiti lang ulit ako.

That's the least I can do, smile.

Iwinagayway ko ang cellphone ko sa harap niya, “Itetext ko nalang po” aniya ko habang nakangiti pa rin even though I badly want to lash out at the sudden changes of my schedule.

She nodded at me saka siya nagpaalam na babalik muna siya sa counter. I also, just nodded at her before I typed a message to nanay that I will be home late.

I didn't get any response after some minutes of waiting though kaya binalik ko na lamang ang cellphone ko sa locker at bumalik sa dating pwesto.

“Hi ma'am, how can I help you” I asked the lady who approached my way with a very genuine smile and that made my smile grow wider.
