5 years later

I actually miss Summer. She left about a year after she showed up. My father said something along the lines of "she needs to return back to her comatose body and back to her mate."

I learned so much from her and she never seemed to get tired. I've never met someone who could take down a demon so easily before. Even dad was impressed.

She had a different personality and I figured out she could control shadows. The only way I learned about her was if I pinned her to the ground for 10 seconds and that earned one question but anyway, I won't see her again unless I'm sent to kill someone she knows and then she won't remember me. Dad compelled her to forget us all.

Arnen engaged to me and we will be wed in a month. Jessie and the vampire princess love each other and Damien is soon to become king.

Keyon and Ethan come down all the time with their newly adopted girl. They said I could come up and play with her anytime but I refuse to step foot onto his territory.

He is now married to a pretty lady and I heard a kid will be on its way soon.

"Ash, you have a new mission. A vampire owes us a huge debt." I groan and follow my assistant towards the portal station.

She hands me a folder and all I do is glance at the name. Richard Harvey. God damn it. The pilot. What did he do this time? I thought he was doing well after I left.

Fuck! That means I have to go to his territory. I snap my fingers and a bag of clothes appears in my hand.

"Arnen, I'm going on a mission. I'll be back as quickly as possible." I mindlink him.

"Alright, love, I'll be waiting for you." He replies sadly.

"Time to see Key and Ethan." I mutter as I step through the portal.

I step down onto marbled floors as a kid rushes past me. "Lucy! Get back here!" Ethan bellows and bolts past me as if I'm not here.

"Ethan, where's Keyon?" I yell after him.

"Our room!" He yells back instinctively.

I walk up the stairs and notice the castle looks exactly the same. I frown and run towards the bedroom.

"Keyon!" I yell out. I see him poke a sleepy head from the doorway before his eyes widen. He runs down the hall and pulls me into a hug, completely oblivious to the fact that he is in only boxers.

"Ohmygod, Ash! You came!" He crys into my ear.

"What is all this commotion!?" A feminine voice bellows out.

Keyon pulls me into his room and closes the door quietly. "Climb into the bed!"

I dive into the bed beside Keyon and we look like a couple who just tried to have sex. We snicker and the door opens to a girl a year older than me. She has blonde hair and bright green eyes. She is tall, tan, and completely gorgeous.

Her eyes widen as she sees our predicament. "Oh my gosh, Keyon! Aren't you mated to Ethan?"

"Shush! Please don't tell him, Emma!" Keyon begs, sliding out of the bed in only boxers.

Her eyes widen even more and she runs out of the room, her dress flowing behind her.

I snicker and make myself comfortable. Keyon joins beside me after he pulls a pair of sweatpants on.

"I missed you, bestie."

"I missed you too!" I roll over so I'm laying on top of him. "So Jessie is now in love with the Vampire princess. Damien is about to be king and I am engaged."

"What!? My baby is engaged!?" Ethan yells and jumps on the bed beside Key and I, pulling me onto his chest.

"Arnen asked me!" I state and show them my left hand with a giant diamond ring. Their eyes widen and they meet eyes.

"Ethan! Why did you-?" The Emma girl asks and stops in the door way.

I roll off of the boys and stand, catching Lucy, Keyon and Ethan's adopted colored child, as she launches herself at me. Emma watches me with wide eyes.

"Aunty!" Lucy squeals in my ear. I cock a brow at Emma, waiting for her to make a fool out of herself.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my castle!?" She screams out.

I tsk her repeatedly. "Now, it would be disrespectful to be rude to the queen but you aren't queen yet. Now, let's start over before I loose my little temper. My name is-"

"Ash." The most heart broken voice whispers in disbelief. I look past Emma, baffled at seeing the gray-eyed prince.

Emma's eyes widen. "You know this...this...slut!?"

A growl erupts from me. "I wasn't having sex with two my best friends! I came here for a reason."

She backs away, completely frightened and I take pride in that.

"Ash?" Alex whispers, still in disbelief.

"Yes! It is me! The quicker I can kill Richard the quicker I can leave!" I snap. My entire insides in a flutter like wings and my body wants to go over to kiss and mate him senseless.

"I still say she is a slut!" Emma states, walking off, and that sets me over the edge. I snarl rips through me before I set the dark tan girl down to stalk after the spoiled princess.

Keyon and Ethan follow after me, gripping my arms to try and stop me from killing the princess. I drag them behind me as they have their heels dug into the floor.

I get halfway down the hall before she starts running towards an office I'm all to familiar with- the king's.

Key and Ethan release my arms and I run up to the girl as she opens the door.

"Your highness-!" She crys out before I have her against the wall with my hand against her neck.

I feel my power circle through me.

Arnen! I want Arnen!

I feel my eyes shift back and forth and my breathing is heavy. My back twitches and I release her and back away, completely frightened. My demon is fighting for control while my angel wants all the control now that our mate is nearby.

Arnen is our mate now, light bitch!

Arnen is a false mate! Alex is our soul mate!

Alex was a false mate! Arnen is real!

I feel them fighting each other inside of me, causing too many problems for me to even count. I can't let my wings out. I've gone without them for 6 years and I can do it one more day.

I've never had this happen before. I meet Keyon's eyes as I back away from Emma. "Call Arnen, please. Only he can stop this turmoil." I beg before collapsing.
