Gray slumped back in his bed, staring at the wooden ceiling above him. His squad was currently staying in one of the houses on Mam as they rested from the battle, and he was actually happy about the break this time.
I need it.
They were only resting for one night before they left straight for Monas in the morning, but Gray was still feeling a bit sore even multiple hours after the fight. His beaten body's pain had mostly faded when he transformed into an ape, but once he returned to his normal Saiyan form it had all come back.
Gray wasn't the only one who needed a break either, as his squad was definitely feeling the pain after the battle. Raditz and Fasha had taken a good amount of damage in the brawl, and even Caulifla had some bruises from fighting the more-skilled Gouketsu. Finally, of course, Suiryu - who would be coming with Gray's squad to Monas whether he wanted to or not - definitely needed rest, and would probably still be a bit beat up when they arrived on Monas.
But it was worth it.
Despite the rather tough battle, Gray couldn't help but grin at the rewards.
