"Talking"
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Gray thought about his past life honestly, he would describe himself in a lot of ways.
A loser? Probably.
A degenerate? Most definitely.
A lazy bastard? One-hundred-precent.
But what Gray wouldn't call himself was a 'nerd.'
I wish I was a nerd.
He'd spent a lot of time staring at his computer screen - far too much than he was proud to admit - but he wouldn't say he was a nerd. He played games, watched anime, watched movies, watched TV, and jerked off to women almost as hot as the ones he was banging every night now. But he was not a nerd.
The only series he really knew an in-depth amount about was Dragon Ball, and even then, he wasn't sure if he was a 'Dragon Ball nerd.' He had seen all of the main series, most of the continuations and spin-offs that came from it, played a bunch of the games, and consumed a lot of fanfiction - be it stories, fan-made manga, or ai-voiced 'what if' videos with shitty fortnite gamplay in the background on YouTube. But, he wasn't arrogant enough to think that he could consider himself a 'nerd.' There were surely thousands of forum-dwellers out there that had scoured every wiki, databook, and episode to the point that they canonically knew the size of Goku's dick, and who would consider him a huge casual.
But, while he was at least pretty knowledgeable about Dragon Ball, when it came to the other series that were so ingrained in nerd culture, he was the furthest thing from a nerd. To the point where he was almost ashamed of it, as if Asuna hadn't been one of the main characters of her series and such a popular waifu, he wouldn't have even known she was from another world.
So, when he landed on Harro and saw the various heroes there, nothing had clicked in his admittedly average-sized brain.
Which is feeling pretty small right now.
The closest he'd gotten to realizing that the Planet Coalition wasn't just a random set of planets that had always existed but never been showcased in Dragon Ball, or a part of the series that he just didn't know about, or even a challenge created by [Double-edged Sword] to fuck him over, was Fubuki.
I fuckin' knew she looked familiar!
Admittedly, Gray had not known she looked familiar. For about ten seconds, and ten was being generous, on the day he met her, Gray had felt like he had seen her somewhere. But he had quickly dismissed the thought.
She can't be this random green-haired chick popping up in my head! That girl is short and doesn't have tits!
The image of a strangely Fubuki-esque woman had appeared in Gray's brain for a moment, as he had remembered seeing her at some point in his past level - either in some comment section, forum, social media, or possibly even porn site. But when he thought about it more, he had decided it couldn't be Fubuki.
She doesn't have green hair - she has dark-green hair! She's not flat - she has a pretty big rack! And she's not short either!
That woman had subconsciously reappeared in Gray's brain as he took in Fubuki's sister - the Tornado of Terror.
