"So, then I just spent my coins to purchase the Dragon Balls, then I made the wish, and here we are," Gray nodded sagely at Celia, not liking the way she was staring at him blankly.

"So... you have magical powers that make everything look like a video game?" She asked blandly.

"Well, it's more like a curse than magic, since the system is a dick," Gray justfifed a bit.

Nightmare Mode fuckin' blows. I should've just picked easy.

"And, you have these magical little points that you can put into your video game stats, and that's making you stronger?" Celia asked again, looking at him doubtfully, "Which you get from quests?"

"...When you say it like that, it sounds like I'm crazy," Gray rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"I think you might be," Celia sighed, but just shrugged at his words, "Whatever, it's not like I don't have a strange ability too. Whether you're insane or have magic powers doesn't really matter, does it? It's just helpful if anything."

I'm glad she's not freaking out.

Gray didn't think the woman would, but he didn't really know what to expect overall. He had given the rest of the squad a pretty poor explanation about just finding the Dragon Balls on Monas, and there being another set on King Kai's planet. Obviously, someone like Celia didn't buy it, though most of Gray's squad didn't really care enough to push the issue besides her.

"Yup," Gray just nodded with a grin, "Though maybe don't tell the others about this. I don't want anyone to think I can just pull Dragon Balls out of my ass whenever, y'know? I'm not that rich yet."

"I agree," Celia simply nodded at his words, "It'd be harder to trust an insane person to lead you, right?"

"I'm not insane," Gray replied dryly, but he knew from Celia's teasing tone that she wasn't being serious.

Overall, this conversation went a lot smoother than I expected.

Gray glanced around at the rest of his squad, who were standing ready as the final day on King Kai's planet arrived. Gray had waited until the very last minute to both consume another fruit and wish his squad back to Monas, as when including the trip time back to Planet Vegeta, they would only have one day to finish up on Monas.

Though if we're a bit late, what's King Vegeta going to do?

As Gray glanced over at his squad, scanning over each member and taking in their new power levels, he didn't think King Vegeta was all that scary anymore.

They all made insane progress.

While King Kai himself wasn't the greatest of teachers, just having nearly a full month to train with other powerful fighters, and even to train against fighters stronger than themselves, was enough to bring his squadmates' power levels up a ton. The strongest of the bunch was still Caulifla, though she could barely be compared to herself from a month ago.
