"Talking"

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What do you call a Saiyan who looks at a full moon?"

"What?"

"An Ozaru."

"...I don't think there's any hope for you."

Gray chuckled lightly as he watched Celia tell her twentieth 'joke' to King Kai, trying to pass the test that every fighter who wanted to be his student had to - the test to make him laugh.

It's kind of annoying, but I'd rather this than something else.

Luckily, Gray and his squad, being bloodthirsty Saiyans who had killed more than a fair share of people and were decidedly not the 'good guys' in the grand scheme of the universe, didn't make King Kai opposed to training them. The North Kai hadn't originally trained Goku because he was pure of heart or a 'hero' in the real sense of that word, but instead because he would train any warrior who could 'prove their strength and worthiness.' Which, despite how intense that sounded, King Kai judged worthiness and strength by someone's ability to make him laugh.

But I'm glad I got to skip this part. His sense of humor is all out of whack!

Gray was surprised that King Kai wasn't laughing at Celia's terrible 'jokes,' because as an example before he started judging them, he had said the 'amazing' joke, 'Why did the golfer need two pairs of pants? He had a hole in one!'

"HAHAHA! B-But you passed! T-That's so funny! HAHAHA!" Luckily, despite King Kai's humor being hard to gauge and appeal to, everyone was slowly passing solely because of one bald hero, "I-I'll take it! You're funny enough to make up for her!"

"I'm just standing here..." Saitama sighed as King Kai pointed at his shiny, egg-shaped head and burst out laughing.

Poor guy. He's the worst possible guy to be bald.

Normally, being bald was a hairstyle, as some even did it by choice. It was perfectly acceptable - unless your head was perfectly shaped like an egg, and if your bald head was so shiny that even in the pitch-darkness of Monas it was shining like a disco ball.

But, if it'll help us all get some much-needed training, then I'm glad you're bald, Saitama.

Gray was a bit more confident after one-shotting Turles, which was largely due to Saitama holding him in place as Gray channeled literally every ounce of Ki he had into his attack, mainly because of the rewards that came from it and not because the other Saiyan was dead now. After having his heart ripped out and his chest busted open, Turles had only lived for another minute or so as he bled out, dying the grass of King Kai's planet red.

[Saiyan 'Turles' has been defeated!]

+15,500,000 XP!

+15,500,000 Coins!

Level up!

+50 Attribute Points!

Besides the 'basic' rewards he got for killing the man, which were still rather insane as the coin and XP value exceeded even what the quest was offering, Gray also completed the 'become King Kai's student' quest, and got the rewards for that.
