"You must remember, you're not just increasing your strength or power, but your very being," King Kai said wisely, walking a circle around Gray as his eyes were closed and his body tensed, "It isn't just about creating more power, but about doing everything your body can do better. You must punch harder, run faster, think quicker, and pump the blood through your veins more efficiently."

Do everything better. Everything.

Gray breathed out, feeling the atmosphere of King Kai's planet fade away. The sounds of the rest of his squad training together vanished, and even the watchful eyes of King Kai, Saitama, and Celia seemed to disappear.

Everything. Do everything better.

Gray channeled his Ki through his body, feeling it flow through him. It flowed through his chest, his legs, his arms, his head, and then back to his chest again. A constant flow of power, which he then willed to go quicker. His Ki started to rotate through him faster, heating up as Gray's eye twitched, feeling the burning Ki squirm around within him. It got fast, and his heart rate started to pick up, pounding in his ears as he felt like lava was flowing through him.

"Don't be brought down if you can't do it right away. I've been practicing and developing this technique for thousands of years, and yet even I struggle to use it," King Kai said comfortingly, nodding at Gray. "Do the steps I taught you, but don't be worried about succeeding. With only less than a month to practice, you'd have to be a genius to get it down-"

"KAIO-KEN!"

In a burst of power, a huge aura of red Ki shot upward, consuming Gray's entire body. The land under him shook, and the air seemed to grow thick with tension. His feet dug into the grass below, the ground cratering as the broken pieces of the planet's floor started to float upward, being dragged into the air by Gray's massive power flare. His muscles bulged outward, becoming bigger and more defined as his strength increased, and his chest flexed.

"W-What the hell?!" King Kai's eyes went wide, the Kai stumbling backward as a flare of red aura surrounded Gray, "H-How did you do that on your first try?!"

Gray grinned as his body trembled, unused to the feeling of his basic functions increasing. His Ki started swirling through his body, guiding his heart to beat far faster than any normal person's organ should, and for even his reaction time to increase.

"I'm talented, I guess," Gray just hummed, grinning lightly at King Kai.

Or, it might be because I have a gamer system.

In reality, Gray didn't know if he was able to pick up on the Kaio-Ken because King Kai was a good teacher, he was naturally talented, or because his game system had made learning the technique easier. And, to be frank, he didn't care.

I can use it. That's all that matters.

Though Gray could definitely understand the danger of the technique now that he was using it.
