[Fruit of the Tree of Might] - A mysterious fruit grown from the Tree of Might. Legends say that consuming the fruit will increase someone's power tenfold.

Gray grinned as he stared down at the fruit, starting to raise it up to his lips.

I sure hope it's tenfold!

The actual canon information about the Tree of Might was very lacking, so Gray couldn't be sure. Depending on the various sources, the fruit could be powerful enough to boost your power level by 20x, or as weak as to only boost it by 2x.

'Only'

To Gray, even a 2x boost would've been pretty damn strong, but he was hoping for something more. He opened his large ape mouth, casually dropping the entirety of the fruit in his mouth. His massive teeth tore through it easily, tearing it to bits within his mouth.

Damn, this is actually pretty good!

Gray didn't know what he expected a fruit made of pure energy to taste like, but it was actually pretty good. It was sweet, and the juices seemed to run down his tongue like a waterfall. As he swallowed, the effect was instantaneous.

His body started to tremble, his muscles twitching and writhing within his own body. His arm jerked out, and he hissed as he felt like lava was suddenly flowing through his veins. His bones seemed to scratch and screech within his body, rubbing together as they started to expand.

I-I know this feeling!

Gray's thoughts were confirmed as a notification appeared in front of him.

His body's evolution continued from where it had left off in his fight with Yamoshi, rising to 6% as a new strength shot through his body.

Gray gritted his massive teeth, unable to finish his thoughts as he continued to evolve. Compared to the last time he'd experienced this, the pain felt even worse, and he was getting double the skills and stats. Gray didn't know if that was because of something he'd done between then and now, or if it was just because the '5%' he reached before was a milestone, but he couldn't think about it for long. Pain raced through him as he felt even his massive ape-arms start to burn while his muscles twitched and expanded. They pulsed outward, his skin stretching as the muscles and bones inside of him expanded.

"A-Are you okay?!" Fubuki shouted at him, floating in front of his face as his hand twitched and unwrapped around her body.

Gray didn't answer, not because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't. A pained hiss came from his mouth as a jolt of lava flowed through his body again, his legs twitching and straining as the muscles and bones within them expanded.
