"All students will return to their house common rooms by six o' clock in the evening. No student is to leave the dormitories after that time. You will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher. No students is to use the bathroom unaccompanied by a teacher. All further Quidditch training and matches are to be postponed. There will be no more evening activities."
"Like that's going to help anything."
Brittany muttered. The common room was packed was chattering was soon heard after McGonagall left.
"Hasn't anyone noticed none of the Slytherins has been attacked?"
Lee Jordan asked.
"Slytherin wouldn't attack his own house. How the monster would know that, no one knows, though."
Brittany responded.
"We should just chuck all the Slytherins out."
Lee said.
"Wouldn't hurt to try."
Brittany muttered. She noticed Harry and Ron disappear up the stairs to their dorm and sighed.
"If anyone's not going to follow that rule it's them. I wonder when they'll get back from Hagrid's?"
She said under her breath. She reached into her bag and pulled out her sketch pad.
"If only I had pencils."
She sighed. She took out a quill and started to open the ink. She was almost immediately bumped by someone and she sighed. This was no place to draw. She went up the stairs to the dormitory and flopped on her bed.
"Hermione, you've left me alone with Parvati and Lavender now!''
She hissed. Neither girl was in the room so she continued.
"All they do is gossip and be generally annoying."
She opened the ink bottle and got out her quill.
"I wonder what the monster looks like?"
She asked no one and started to draw.

The next morning Brittany asked Harry what exactly happened last night.
"Well, it wasn't Hagrid."
He started out.
"But the minister of magic came and arrested him because they thought he did it! Dumbledore's also been suspended!"
Brittany gasped.
"What?"
Harry continued as Ron was eating and pretending not to hear.
"Lucius Malfoy. He did it."
Harry hissed. Brittany scowled more.
"Then what?"
"Well, Hagrid said to follow the spiders-"
"You didn't did you?"
"Yes we did. Into the forest."
"I don't want to hear any more of this you're both idiots."
"Well, Aragog the massive spider isn't the monster."
"Massive as in the size of a tarantula?"
Harry laughed.
"Try larger than a car!"
Brittany cringed.
"Ew.... Why? Just why?"
Harry stopped laughing.
"But we did learn one thing. The monster killed a girl in a bathroom. What if she never left?"
"Moaning Myrtle?"
Brittany was astounded.
"But- we spent half the year three stalls from her!"
"That's who we need to talk to."
Harry sighed.
"That'll be hard."
