Quirrel must have been braver than they thought. Weeks had passed, and he seemed to be getting paler, but he didn't look as if he had cracked yet. Fluffy was still growling inside the third floor corridor, and Snape still seemed to be in a particularly bad temper. Hermione, however, seemed to have other things on her mind.
                              "Ten weeks. Until the exams."
                              Hermione was constantly counting down.
"Bloody h*ll, Hermione, what are you studying for, you already know it all."
                              Ron kept asking.
"Ron, I am diagnosing you with RON disease. Symptoms of this rare and elusive disease are excessive use of the term 'bloody h*ll' and barfing slugs. You seem to only have a minor case."
Brittany said, with a serious face.
                              "What?"
"RON disease, it's not common, I just made it up. Were you not listening?"
"Are you crazy? You realize we need to pass these exams to get into our second year? I should have started a month ago, I don't know what's gotten into me..."
Hermione snapped. Sadly the teachers seemed to think the same way. Everyone had more and more homework, and Brittany often stayed up late finishing it, helping the twins with more and more easily done pranks during the day.
"I'd rather be setting off fireworks than looking up Dittany in sixty hundred magic plants and mosses or whatever its called."
Brittany yawned as she wrote down the definition. Ron suddenly burst out something about remembering or not, Brittany didn't pay attention because it looked like a beautiful day outside.
"Hagrid! What are you doing in the library?"
Ron said. Hagrid was hiding something behind his back.
                              "Jus' lookin'."
He said in a shifty voice.
"An' what're you lot up ter? Yer bot still lookin' fer Nicolas Flamel, are yeh?"
                              Hagrid asked.
                              "Nope."
                              Brittany closed her book.
"We found out who he was ages ago."
                              Ron said.
"And we know what the dog's guarding, it's a sorcerers st-"
                              "Don' say it in 'ere!"
Hagrid hurriedly said as Brittany got up.
"Sorry but to leave so soon but I have something to do.'
                              She told Ron, Harry,and Hermione.
                              "More important then studying?"
                              Hermione snapped.
                              "In my world, yes."
Brittany gathered her books and raced back to the common room.
"You weren't studding for your exams, were you?"
Fred asked when she walled in.
                              "Yes, yes I was."
                              Brittany answered.
"Oh, you don't want to end your first year studying."
                              George said.
"You need to end it with a bang!"
                              Fred said.
"Like, literally a bang? With fireworks and fanged frisbees?"
Fred and George just shook their head.
"We are going to have to cut your supply of wet start firecrackers."
                              George said.
"Wouldn't want it being to obvious now would we?"
                              Fred added.
                              "Fine. JELLY BEAN EMITTING FIREWORKS!"
Brittany yelled. She laughed as Fred and George facepalmed.
"See you two later! I NEED TO RECLAIM SOME LOST FIRECRACKERS FROM FILCH!"
She laughed as she raced out of the common room, after dropping her books in her dormitory.
