End of summer

Summer vacation was ending really quickly. Brittany helped set up some fireworks that Fred and George had on the last day, an they bounced around the room for thirty minutes. The next morning was rushed. After getting in the magically enhanced car, they had driven for five minutes when George said he left his box of Filbuster fireworks.

"I told you you didn't pack them."

Fred whispered to him. Five minutes later they returned because Fred had left his broomstick.

"Who's talking now?"

And they had almost reached the highway when Ginny shrieked she had left her diary. It was pretty late once they reached the station. Brittany followed Fred and George and made it through the barrier and rushed onto the train.

"Gotta find Hermione he has my kitten she you bye!"

She quickly told the twins and raced off to find Hermione.

"Hi!"

She said when Hermione opened the door to the compartment.

"Hello Brittany! I have Fire here."

Hermione got small cat carrier down and have her to Brittany.

"Oh my gosh thank you, the Dursley's would never let me keep a cat, I think Dudley's allergic anyway..."

Brittany and Hermione played with Fire for a while and didn't notice the train start.

"Where are Ron and Harry?"

Hermione suddenly asked.

"I'll go look."

Brittany said and left to go find them. Not here, not there, not looking in the swamped area around Fred,George, and Lee's compartment....

"I can't find them. I do hope they made it.."

Brittany said when she returned to the compartment.

After getting off the train, Hermione and Brittany got into one of the carriages that led to the school.

"I still can't see them."

Brittany said, craning her neck to find them. At the feast she sat next to Fred, who said that they hadn't seen them either. Snake wasn't up at the table though...

The sorting hat sang its song, Ginny was sorted into Gryffindor with a Colin Creevey an some other kid, and Dumbledore said his reminders and the feast began. Though he and McGonagall disappeared shortly after....

"Oh no do you think they got expelled?!"

Brittany gasped. Hermione did so as well.

"Nahhh, its Harry Potter we're talking about, they won't expel him. Snape might want to though..."

Fred told them.

"Oh, I hope they're all right..."

Later that night Hermione and Brittany hurried up to the common room to find Harry and Ron.

"You're not expelled!"

Brittany squealed.

"Where were you? Someone said something about you crashing a flying car? Are you hurt? Were you expelled?"

Hermione asked.

"Well, as Brittany said, we aren't expelled."

Harry started.

"Oh the password is wattlebird."

Hermione said. She started to say something else but the common room exploded with clapping.

"Brilliant!"

Lee Jordan exclaimed.

"Flying the car into the willow, no one's going to forget about that!'

Brittany smiled at Harry.

"So you DID fly that car?"

She asked

"Yes, er, well-"

Fred and George had pushed their way to the front and said together,

"Why couldn't we have come in the car?"

Ron was redder than his hair. Percy was scowling like Hermione.

"Uh, we should go..."

Ron started, and Brittany shouted,

"Make way, two new celebrities coming through they may have seriously injured themselves in that car and need to sleep it off!"

Hermione scowled at Brittany now.

"Don't encourage them."

She said.

"They flew the car into the whomping willow. That's pretty amazing.

Hermione smiled.

"Ok...it is... But that's not the point!"

She went back to scowling.

"Aw come on! Though they did make it pretty much impossible to break the earliest detention record...."
