At breakfast a few days later, Hedwig brought Harry a note.
"It's hatching."
Ron and Brittany wanted to skip Herbology, but Hermione said not to. Finally during morning break Brittany just dragged them out to the hut.
"Hi Hagrid!"
Brittany said as he opened the door.
"It's nearly out!"
He said as Harry stepped inside. On his table the large egg. It had several deep cracks in it and it was slightly shaking. Suddenly it cracked open and out popped a tiny baby dragon. It opened it's wings and sneezed.
"Isn't he beautiful?"
Hagrid asked. It wasn't exactly pretty, it looked fairly like an umbrella.
"Bless him he knows his mummy."
Hermione looked worried.
"How fast do they grow exactly?"
She asked. Hagrid started to answer and stopped. There was a face at the window. Malfoy.
"Malfoy was at the window! He saw the dragon!"
Brittany gasped. Things just got a whole lot worse.

Chapter 25
Hagrid wouldn't let the dragon free, he said it would die. It had grown much larger.
"Give it two weeks and he'll be longer than your house!"
Ron said.
"He's lost his marbles."
Ron added to them. Harry suddenly said,
"Charlie!"
Brittany looked at him like he was crazy.
"You're losing it too. I'm Ron, remember?"
Ron told him.
"No, your brother works with dragons in Romania!"
Harry explained.
"That makes a but more sense."
Harry was sending an owl to Charlie that afternoon.

Chapter 25
Ron was helping Hagrid with the dragon everyday, and had gotten himself bitten. Charlie had sent a reply, and Harry and Hermione would be getting rid-er-relocating him on Saturday night. Unfortunately Malfoy had gotten hold of Charlie's letter. Brittany was staying in the common that night, waiting for them to get back. It was nerve racking. What if they were caught? Hours passed by and by one they had returned.
"Nobert's gone. But we have detention and lost enough points to put Gryffindor in last place."
Harry said as he entered the portrait hole.
"Oh no."
