Brittany placed the water pistol in her bag.
"You sure aguamenti's the right spell?"
She asked Fred.
"Of course it is. I'm a fourth year, remember?"
Brittany still frowned.
"I guess. I should ask Hermione...."
She placed the bag on her shoulder and went out of the common room into the hall way.
"Hullo Hermione!"
Brittany said brightly.
"I love your tie, its so....gold and maroon."
She smiled. Hermione raised an eyebrow.
"What do you want?"
She laughed.
"Is aguamenti the water spell?"
Hermione nodded.
"Good."
Brittany said. Hermione smiled and shook her head.
"Oh, we have Binns today."
Brittany made a face.
"It's not that bad!"
Hermione said.
"Eh. It's not too hot, I should stay awake for...fifteen? Twenty? Thirty minutes at the most."
Brittany said and skipped off towards the Great Hall, Hermione walking normally behind her.
"Hey Harry. What-what exactly happened last night?"
Brittany asked quietly.
"Well, we were coming back from the Death Day party, and I heard....a voice. It wanted to kill."
Harry said.
"But Hermione and Ron couldn't hear it. We turned the corner....it was wet, and-"
"Yeah I saw that. After?"
Brittany stopped him.
"Well, we didn't get in trouble. But we also didn't tell them I heard a voice."
Harry said and bit off a piece of toast.
"Well. This is....mysterious."
Brittany said and sat down.
"Seriously."
Brittany picked up a piece of toast as well.
"Chamber of Secrets....weird."

Brittany woke up with a start as her head slammed against the desk.
"You were wrong. That was ten minutes."
Hermione said, slightly annoyed. She raised her hand.
"Proffessor?"
She asked.
"And the goblin wars- yes Ms???"
Hermione put her hand down.
"Granger."
"Well, Ms. Granger. Your question?"
Hermione took a breath.
"I was wondering if, if you could tell us about the Chamber of Secrets?"
All heads turned up.
"Ms. Grant I only work with facts. The Chamber of secrets is a legend."
Professor Binns continued with his lecture.
"And- yes, Ms. Green?"
"Well, don't most legends have some basis in facts, sir?"
Binns thought for a moment.
"Fine. The Chamber of Secrets is a chamber that was supposedly made by Salazar Slytherin."
Everyone was paying attention.
"It is said he sealed it when he left the school. It is said there is a monster inside, that only the true heir of Slytherin can control, as well as open the chamber, and it will purge the school of all he thought unworthy. I can assure you the school has been searched many times and no such chamber has been found."
Seamus raised his hand.
"But if you have to be the heir of Slytherin to open it, does it mean you have to be the heir to find it?"
Binns looked shocked.
"Nonsense, O'Flattery!"
Paravati Patil raised her hand.
"But wouldn't that mean you would have to use Dark Magic to get in it?"
"Please, Ms. Pennyflower, there is no such Chamber! I stick to facts! No more silly legends!"
Binns floated over to the board. Brittany yawned, but Hermione was wide awake.
"You know what this means. It means the professors are worried."
Brittany nodded and put her head down. Binns' class was too boring.
