Boring normal

Brittany waited in the small room for most of the day doing homework. Her last remaining family was having a dinner party to sell drills (what could be more boring than that) and she was in her room, pretending that she didn't exist. This was hard. Maybe a year ago she could have done it, but she went off to the most amazing school and became friends with the two biggest trouble makers, Fred and George Weasley. She used to be quiet an shy, but so much could happen in a year. Now, she was set on breaking the detention record with her two older friends. They were two years above her but they didn't mind. She had Hermione as well. She took out more paper and made a birthday card for Harry, her slightly older brother. It was his birthday, but she couldn't get him a present because she had been locked up all summer. He probably wouldn't mind waiting a bit. She'd get him one when they went to Diagon Alley. She finished the card, not bad for no magic and being Brittany Potter, who could not draw if her life depended on it. She sneaked out and placed the card in Harry's room and went back down the stairs, dodging a frying pan in the kitchen and getting yelled at for not doing anything. Harry must have done something again. After successfully ending up on the roof when a car alarm went off (these things happen when your magic) she decided it was best to just....disappear. She unsuccessfully tried to open the lock on the cupboard under the stairs to get anything of magical properties, cough cough her brothers invisibility cloak, she just gave up. One more month. Just one.
