Chapter 29

Sadie's POV
It's been three years since he died. I still can't get over it. Out of every person it had to be him. That day.....I'll never forget it. I still loved him a lot. The last time we were together was in the hospital. His last words to me were...... " I love you and I'm sorry for everything ".

They said he would survive. That he was strong and he would make it through. I wanted to believe it but I knew it was too good to be true. Now I was engaged and was going to get married next year.

" It's going to be okay " my best friend told me.

I looked down at my hand, there were two rings on my finger. One was from the love of my life. He purposed to me before he died. The other was from my fiancè. My parents wanted me to get married so they got me engaged to some guy. He was a great person it's just he could never replace Michael......

I grabbed the remote and turned off the tv. Ugh for the past 4 hours I have been sitting around watching sad movies with Ed. I didn't force him to watch it was his own choice. He said he wanted to make sure I'm okay. Ed is actually one of the most sweetest guys ever.

I forced myself up and ran to the kitchen. I was in the middle of making some coffee when my phone rang. It must be mom! I sprinted back to the living room and picked up my phone.

" Hello? " I said.

" Sadie the blizzard stopped you can come to the hospital if you want " mom said.

" Okay I'l be there in half an hour. How's Leo doing? "

" Uh it's complicating.....you'll see when you get here "

" O-oh okay.....bye "

" Bye dear " mom said then hung up the phone.

" Ed we need to go to the hospital " I spoke up.

" Okay....go change your still in your pajamas " Ed laughed a bit.

" I know "

I quickly changed into a grey sweater and some dark red jeans. I grabbed my jacket slipped on my boots and ran out the door, Ed behind me. He started the car and drove towards the hospital. He was driving rather fast but I didn't care. My foot was bouncing lightly, oh god I'm scared. Ed put his hand on me arm.

" It's going to be okay. Leo will live " he said softly.

I limply nodded. We got to the hospital in 20 minutes. As soon as Ed parked the car I quickly got out and rushed towards the big building. I went to the front desk. A girl who looked about 25-ish looked at me with big eyes.

" Hi, how may I help you? " she asked.

" Which room is Leo Fernando Hernandez in? " I asked quickly.

She looked in the computer and found his room. She told me which room he was in and I quickly went to it. There was no one outside his room. I knocked on the door and waited. In seconds the door was thrown open by my mom. She pulled me and Ed inside.

" Mom hows Leo?! " I asked.

" He's going to live but.....that bump on his head made him a bit uh... " she trailed off.

I looked past her and saw Leo lying in the hospital bed. He was drawing circles in the air with his finger. Once he saw me he grinned from ear to ear. He giggled a bit. Um....

" Sadieeeee you're here!!! Yaaayyyyy " he slurred.

I went to his side and sat down.

" How are you feeling? " I asked.

" Dizzyyy....I talked to Pikachu and he said he would get me some medicene " Leo said laughing a bit between each word.

Oh no he's crazy.

" Uh Leo.....Pikachu doesn't talk " I said slowly. Leo pouted and lightly pushed my arm.

" Yes he does! "

He's kidding right? He's just messing around with all of us? For some reason I didn't take this seriously. Just the fact that he's gonna live made me so happy.

" Do you see that giant penguin? " he asked pointing to nothing.

" U-uh.....yeahh I see it " I lied.

" Oh really? What colour is it then? "

" U-uh blue.......? "

" YOU'RE LYING IT'S YELLOW "

" I-I know that I wa-was just testing you..... "

" OHHHH I GET IT WE'RE TESTING EACH OTHER IN THAT CASE WHAT'S MY FAVOURITE COLOUR? "

" Blue "

" WRONG. IT'S VANILLA "

" Leo.....vanilla is a flavour.... "

" I KNOW! "

" You asked me whats your favourite COLOUR "

" I did? Oh hehe oops " he said grinning and scratching the back of his neck in confusion.

" Can we get ice cream? " he asked.

" U-uh sure..... "

*** TIME SKIP *** ( a week later )

Leo had to stay in the hospital for a week but now he was out. I'm happy December break is two weeks long. He was nack to his normal self.

He wanted to show us something really cool so he was in a hurry. He led us down a path, spft snow lightly falling.

" Leo where are we going? " Sophie asks, growing impatient.

" Some where Soph now be patient! " he hissed.

Leo's over doing it. He just got out of the hospital and he's running around in the snow and throwing snowballs at all of us. He never listens.

" Leo we're going " there " aren't we? " Ed asked with a smirk.

" Haha yup " Leo answered, smirking.

This isn't going to good... this place seemed really familier but it's also kind of hard to tell since there's so much snow everywhere. We turned the corner that led to a place I recognized right away.

" LEO NOT THIS AGAIN YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME " I exclaimed.

Infront of me was a giant lake that was frozen. Trees covered in snow surrounded it. It was the restricted lake.

" COME ON LET'S PLAY HOCKEY " Leo exclaimed.

He grabbed some hockey sticks from behind a tree and threw one to each of us. He can't be serious can he? Leo stepped down on the ice, it didn't crack. He said it was safe then went further on the ice. I shook my head. There's no way I'm getting out of this.

" Leo you're going to end up back in the hospital at this rate " I muttered.

Leo, Percy, Sophie, Ed, and I all went on the ice and started to play some hockey.

Where I live it's August 15th and that's Percy's birthday :3 It's not his birthday in the story though. In the story it's December right now. But in real life it's the characters birthday :)
