Broken Love

Chapter 6

Sadie's POV
It was 9 and I still didn't get caught. This started off as a little game, but now I'm determined to win. I'm pretty competitive. If I do say so myself. I hid behind the counter of the smoothie shop. One of the employees named Justin ( he was Jade's boyfriend ) was keeping a look out for me. I was hiding there for about half an hour.

" Uh Sadie....Leo's coming! " Justin yelled in a whisper. My heart beated faster.

" Just act like you haven't seen me if he asks " I hissed. Justin nodded.

" Uh hey Leo " Justin said nervously.

" Hey man, I have a question " Leo asked. Ahhh here it comes!

" Yeah? " Justin asked.

" What's the best smoothie here in your opinion? " Leo asked. I rolled my eyes. Of course.

" Uh um I like the strawberry kiwi one " Justin answered.

" Okay then I'll take that one....and have you seen Sadie today? ". My heart dropped. If Justin becomes a traitor I will never EVER help him with his problems with Jade. I was sweating because I was so nervous. Justin looked in my direction. I looked back with a death glare. He gulped.

" No sorry man " he said. I sighed in relief.

" Oh okay thanks anyway " Leo said then took his smoothie and left.

" Thanks so much Justin! " I exclaimed.

" Any time Sadie any time " he replied.

I decided to hide somewhere else. There was a rustle of leaves. I looked at the tree beside me. Maybe I was imagining it. Just then I made contact with a pair of all too familier gorgeous blue eyes.

" Leo?!" I shrieked then realised it WAS Leo. I yelped then broke into a full speed run.

" Sadie now this isn't even about the kiss I just wanna win! " Leo yelled. I didn't stop or even bother to respond.

I kept running and running. I can't let him catch me! I eventually lost him and fell to the ground. I'm actually surprised I lasted this long! Just a few more hours Sadie...just a few more hours.

Maybe I should go exploring to kill time. There was this cave that people were always talking about. Aparently it was really beautiful. The walk there was extremely long though -_-

The later it got the darker it got so I used my phone's flashlight to light the way. I walked down the stone path. Trees surrounded me. Um ya know....maybe I shouldn't have gone exploring. I completely forgot the way I came..... crap of course this would happen to me.

I finally reached the end of the stone path. Okay where do I go now? Ahead of my was dirt, dirt, and more dirt! I continued forward. Eventually I got the a river. I wonder how deep it is. I took a stick I found near by and stuck it into the river. It wasn't too deep. I shone the light at the end of the river. I saw it! There it was! The cave! It looked pretty normal to me. If I came all the way here just to see a freakin normal cave I'll hate all those people who said it was beautiful.

I stepped into the water a shiver ran up my shine. Ugh it was so cold! I walked across the river. It had a slow current which was good. I don't think Leo would be happy if I floated down a river into who knows where. It was really dark now which freaked me. The tall thick trees really didn't help.

Once I was out of the river I ran to the cave. I was really annoyed because when I went in there was nothing there. It was an empty cave. Then something caught my eye. Around the corner there was an aqua coloured light. Now this made me curious. I slowly walked towards the light. I turned the corner and I was mezmorized. There were thousands of little aqua coloured crystals all across the gave. The crystals gave off that glow. The cave was literally glowing.

Infront of me was a gaint pool of water. The water was practicslly sparkling. The stupid/brave/adventurious side of me kicked in even more. I decided to go swiming! The water was the perfect temperature! After my 20 minute swim I decided to get out. Even though I'm supposed to be hiding if no one has seen me I'm pretty sure Leo would get worried. As I was about to climb out of the water my head exploded with pain. I winced and tried to get out. I was drowning! My lungs screamed for oxygen. I struggled to get out but it was no use. My body stopped moving.

I saw Leo hugging a girl with curly brown hair.
I saw myself crying.
I saw Leo holding that girls hand.
I saw Leo crying, he looked frusterated.
I saw Leo in a plane.
Lastley, I saw him playing hockey.

I eyes flew open. I coughed and gasped for air. I quickly sat up and looked around. I was still in that cave. Sitting beside me was a boy my age with jet black hair. He had intense electric blue eyes. He was quite good looking.

" You're finally awake, eh " he said coldly.

" Who are you? " I asked.

" Your saviour "

" Oh um thanks. I don't really know what happened but if it wasn't for you I would be dead "

" We should go. I know the way back to the beach "

" Yeah okay " I said. He grabbed when hand and helped me up. We walked beside each other. I used my phone's flashlight. There was an awkward silence.

" I'm Sadie! What's your name? " I asked.

" Edward " he responded.

" Edward eh...I'll call you Ed! "

" Whatever " he grunted. He doesn't have to be so rude for god's sake. I rolled my eyes.

" Why not try to be a little nice?! " I said, annoyed.

" I could have let you died back there " he said in monotone.

" True, but still " I said. That ended the conversation. We finally got to the beach. It was 11:55. I should probably get home.

" I should probably go, but once again thank you so so much! I totally have to owe you! See ya around Ed! " I said then ran towards the house.

I knocked on the door. Leo probably gave up and went to bed. Heh I won. Wait Leo wouldn't give up that easily. The door swung open and there stood Leo.

" Crap! " I exclaimed then ran.

No no no! I can't lose now! Just a few minutes! I looked at my phone, it was 11:59! I CAN DO THIS! Just then my foot twisted and I went crashing down. I braced myself for the impact, but it never came. Leo caught me. I looked at my phone....11:59.

" Caught you " Leo whispered with a smirk. I groaned in frusteration and got to my feet.

" Fine you win! " I said. It was midnight.

I put my arms around Leo's neck and pressed my lips against his.

We broke apart and he put his forehead against mine. I smiled.

" I let you win " I said.

" Sure you did " Leo laughed. I scowled then gave him a quick kiss.
