Sadie's POV
* Time Skip - A few weeks later *

I woke up pretty drowsy since I was awake till 4am last night.

Yeah 4am. Don't judge.

I rubbed my eyes then grabbed my phone. I typed in my password and my notifications were flooded with happy birthday messages and posts.

Wait what!?

MY BIRTHDAY!? HOLY SH*T ITS MY BIRTHDAY OMG!

I had completely forgotten that it was my birthday. Yeah I'm weird. I know.

I scrolled through my messages, replying to each and everyone of them with hearts, smiley faces, balloons, and kiss faces.

One message caught my eye.

EmoPunk: Happy Birthday Cupid! ❤️ I hope you have the most amazing day ever because you deserve it. I'm so happy I met you and that I have you in my life. You helped me through everything going on in my life so much and I could never repay you. You are literally like an angel. That's how precious and amazing you are. You're beautiful, you know that? And when you smile my heart stops beating. Your smile lights up my world...I know that sounds cheesy but it's true. Your personality is one of a kind. Your sass, sarcasm, humour, kindness, just everything about you drives me insane. No one could ever replace you. I love you so much ❤️ Happy Birthday! Oh and make sure you are dressed and ready by noon.

I couldn't stop smiling at his message. Ed is so so sweet. I'm so lucky he's mine.

I replied to his message.

SadieAngelo: EMOOO OML I CAN'T STOP SMILING!!! THIS IS THE SWEETEST, MOST CUTEST THING EVER! ❤️ God, I love you so so SO MUCH it's undescribable! Anyways it's 10:30 so I'm going to go get ready byeee

After I finished my face ached from smiling so much.

I wonder why Ed wanted me to be ready by 12. I wonder where we're going to go.

Even though today is a Tuesday we don't have school. Only the 12th graders have school and that's because of exams. 9th, 10th, and 11th graders are off today which is perfectly convienient!

I hopped out of bed - extra excited. As soon as I opened my door balloons fell all over my head. The floors and walls were decorated with pretty streamers, balloons and confetti!

" Surprise! Happy Birthday! " my whole family exclaimed - jumping out of the rooms.

I grinned from ear to ear and laughed.

" Thank you so much! "

My mom and dad gave me a big bear hug.

" Happy birthday darling. Oh gosh I can't believe my little baby is growing up! " mom wiped away some tears.

For some weird, unknown reason I always feel like crying when I see someone else cry.

" Mum stop crying please! You're going to make me cry! " I whined.

" I'm sorry it's just so hard seeing you grow up. Soon you'll get married to Edward and you will move out and start your own family "

" What!? Mo- "

" I'm only teasing " she laughed and kissed my head.

" Happy Birthday sweetie! Your moms right...I can't believe you're 17! You're a young woman. You grow up so fast. I remember when you were little you used to carry around my handcuffs and pretend that you were a cop just like your grandfather " dad smiled.
