Chapter 16

Sadie's POV
You know maybe I'll just go. I stood up but that's when my phone started to ring. Oh look who it is.....Leo

I quickly pressed answered.

" Leo where are you?! "

" Sadie I'm so sorry! You know how Amara was sick? "

" What about it?! "

" Well she called and asked if I could take her to the doctor "

" Why can't her parents take her? "

" They aren't home. I'll meet you there at 9 if you're still up for it "

" Leo you know what? Just forget it. This whole date was stupid. I'm going home "

" No-no Sadie wai- " I cut the phone before he could finish his sentence.

Of course this would happen. Why wouldn't it? He obviously loves hanging out with Amara. I texted Sophie.

SadieAngelo: He didn't show up
Soph13: Are you kidding me?!
SadieAngelo: Wish I was
Soph13: Wanna come over?
SadieAngelo: Sure I'll be there in a like 20 minutes
Soph13: K oh and Percy is over if ya dont mind
SadieAngelo: It's fine
Soph13: K see ya
SadieAngelo: See ya

I put my phone in my purse and walked out of the mall. I don't know where I was going but all I know I'm going to Sophie's in 20 minutes. I walked down the streets as heavey rain began to fall.

I can't believe Leo! Why am I still dating him?! I really do like him but it hurts and I bet I don't make him happy like Amara does. I miss how things were last year. When me and Leo were a happy couple.

I was now soaked and shivering head to toe. My feet were killing because I was walking in flats. People were looking at me with so much pity. But I don't care about there dumb pity. Tears stung my eyes. I wonder if Leo would dump me for Amara.....

Drop. A tear fell. I whiped it away quickly but more came.

" Dammit why am I crying over someone who doesn't even care about me?! " I said in frusteration.

I felt arms wrap around me. I looked up and made contact with a way too familier pair of electric blue orbs. Without a word I burried my face in his chest and sobbed. I let out all the pain, frusteration, anger, everything that was building up.

I felt so safe in Ed's arms. I felt so special....like I'm some sorta of...princess?

"Sadie? " Ed said softly. I looked up. I was drained of tears.

" Why does life have to be so hard? " I said.

" You were given this life because god knows you're strong enough to live it "

" Oh no....is this one of those lectures? "

" Lectures? No. What I'm saying is you're strong, brave, and amazing Angelo...if Leo thinks AMARA is better than you then I think someones gonna have to smack some sense into "

" You think so "

" I know so. Trust me when I say everything will get better because it will. You'll make it through. Don't waste your breath on someone who shows no sign of care towards you "

" It's hard..... "

" I know it is but it'll get easier "

" I hope so "

" And don't hold in your tears it's bad for you "

" I don't like crying though "

" Sometimes it's better to let it all out "

" I guess so "

" Also, talk to someone. It will seriously help "

" Can I talk to you? "

" Anytime anywhere "

" Thanks Edward " I said with a gentle smile. He patted my head.

I swear I could see a small smile threatening to form on his lips. This made me smile more as I hugged him. I coughed and quickly moved away.

" Sorry " I muttered coughing again. Ed smirked then took off his jacket and placed with around me.

" Take it you're gonna get sick "

" Uh th-thanks "

" Want a ride home? "

" Actually I was gonna go to Sophie's house "

" Then I'll drop you there "

" No it's fine, I'm gonna get your car all wet. I'm soaked "

" I don't care I'm soaked too cupid " Ed said then rolled his eyes.

Ed quickly stopped by starbucks and bought me some coffee. Once he was infront of Sophie's house I thanked him for the 1000th time then got out.

" Oh wait your jacket " I said about to it off and return it.

" I said keep it you're gonna get sick cupid " Ed said with a hint of amusment in his voice.

" Oh uh thanks...g'night "

I rang on Sophie's doorbell as I sipped my coffee. Seconds later my black haired best friend flung open the door. She threw me a towel.

" Sadie what the hell?! You're gonna get sick! " Sophie scolded. " And who's jacket is that? " she smirked. I spot daggers at her with my eyes.

After I dried off we went to her living room amd sat down. Sophie sat across from me, beside Percy. I took a sip of my coffee and began recalling what happened earlier. At the end of it my eyes were puffy and red from crying.

" Sadie stop crying! Please! Sophie exclaimed as she hugged me. I hugged back as I whiped my eyes.

" He can be such a damn skeeze at times " I muttered. Percy laughed.

" You're damn right he is! " Sophie said taking a seat next to Percy again.

" I'm done crying though like pshhhh I don't give a crap what he does anymore " I say with sass.

Percy left around 10 which left me and Sophie. I told her how Ed came and comforted me then gave me a ride and got me some coffee.

" Wow I never knew he could be so nice " Sophie said in utter shock.

" I was just as shocked as you are " I laughed a bit.

" Ed isn't that nice to anyone else! He's only like that to YOU "

" Oh shush up no he isn't "

" Yes he is "

" No he isn't "

" Yes he is "

" No he isn't "

" Yes he is "

" Sophie don't start with me right now " I said threanteningly. Sophie gulped then the two of us erupted with laughter.

" Ugh I should probably call my mom to come pick me up " I groaned.

" Awww can't you ask if you can sleepover? I hate sleeping when I'm home alone " Sophie whinned.

" Haha okay I'll ask " I said.

Mom agreed to let me sleepover. So Sophie and I set everything up and brought up a lot of snacks. We decided to talk then sleep since we still unfortunatly had school tomorrow

Oh god....I forgot I have Leo first period tomorrow......
