Chapter 3

Sadie's POV
" Sadie wake up it's 9:30! " Sophie yelled. I covered my ears with my pillow.

" Ugh gimme five minutes Sophie! " I complained.

" I already gave you like 20! "

" I slept at 5 okay? "

" Well that's not my fault! I slept at 5 too but I still managed to get up on time! "

" Well you're Sophie of course you can! "

" Whatever just get up " and with that I did an over exagerated sigh and got up.

I had a text from Leo.

Leo99: Hey are you awake yet?
SadieAngelo: I am now ♥

I showered before coming to Sophie's house last night so I brushed my teeth then changed into some white jeans and a light blue shirt. For breakfast Sophie made some waffles. We watched some tv while we waited for them to come and pick us up.

" Um Sophie " I started.

" Yeah? "

" I'm sorta scared for grade 11. I mean there are gonna be new students and well what if Leo meets someone else " I struggled to say. There was a long uncomfortable silence.

" Sadie I can tell Leo really really likes you so the chance of that is not very likley. And don't worry about the future focus on the present. Live every moment like it's the last " Sophie said.

" You're right, thanks Soph! " I exclaimed.

There was a PING from Sophie's phone.

" Oh they're here " Sophie said. I stood up and grabbed my bag.

Me and Sophie got into the van. Dave's aunt and uncle were in the front seat, Sophie and Dave sat in the middle two seats, and me and Leo sat in the back.

" I'm so excited! " I chirped.

" Me too! " Leo said.

I yawned then put my head on Leo's shoulder. Should I tell Leo about the dream I had?

" Sadie? " Leo said slowly.

" Yeah?

" If I ever were to have to go far for my hockey tournaments would this still work out? " Leo asked. My heart skipped a beat.

" Wha-what do you mean? " I asked nervously.

" Well....long distance relationships are hard so ya know would you still be willing to be together? "

" Of course I would still wanna be together! Why? " I said in a shakey voice.

" Uh nothing important just curious " Leo said hesitantly. I could tell he was lying. I wonder what happened.

We stopped talking. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep.

I have been really worried these past few days. It's summer vacation now, no school! I should be having fun and not worrying. But of course for me that's not the case. I feel like Leo has been sorta upset lately and it's really worrying me. Everytime I ask if he is okay he just silently nods.......

I opened my eyes and my face instantly turned red as a tomato. I was being carried bridal style by Leo!

" You're awake! " he exclaimed then smiled. I smiled back.

" What happened? " I asked.

" Nothing we are at the beach house though. You fell asleep and I didn't want to wake you so I just carried you " Leo said. I smiled then looked down to hide my blush.

" Thanks, but you can put me down if you'd like " I said embarrassed.

" Nope not a chance Angelo. A princess should never have to walk " he said then flashed me one of his " Prince Charming " smiles. I smiled then closed my eyes and snuggled into Leo.

I guess I fell asleep because the next thing I knew I was laying down in a bed in a really pretty room. I sat up and looked around. There was another bed on the other side of the room and Sophie was sitting on it. She looked up from her phone and smiled.

The room was really nice. There were two beds, one on each side. The floor was wooden and infront of each bed was a pink fluffy rug. Beside each bed was a small table with a flower pot. The room was really beach themed ( no duh sadie no duh ) with pretty flowers and colourful decorations all around the room.

" So are we sharing a room? " I asked Sophie.

" Yup " she said while setting her phone down.

Sophie and I started to unpack and relax. It was now almost time for the sun to set.

" I'm surprised you didn't share a room with Dave " I said while smirking.

Sophie's face glew red.

" Shush up. I'm surprised you and Leo aren't sharring a BED " Sophie shot back.

" Oh yeah well I'm surprised you and dave aren't...... "

I was interupted by a knock on the door.

" Come in! " I said.

The door opened and in came Leo. I blushed as I recalled what Sophie had said.

" Uh Sadie I was wondering if you wanted to go take a walk on the beach the sun is gonna set soon and yeah " Leo said awkwardly.

" Sure, I'd love to! " I exclaimed.

" Have fun my little love birds " Sophie teased. Leo blushed with embarrassment and so did I.

" I'll get ready and meet you downstairs " I said. Leo nodded and left the room.

Sophie went to the washroom. I picked out a cute navy blue and white stripped dress. It was short sleeved and it had a cut out in the back. I put on the dress and combed through my hair. Sophie came back and started to pick out an outfit. Dave and her were going to see a play. Me and Leo were going to catch up with them later. Before I left the room I happily said a comeback.

" I'm surprised Dave still let you keep your v card " and with that I closed the door and happily skipped downstairs.

When I got down I saw Leo sitting on the couch. He was wearing blue shorts and a white shirt. He went swimming earlier so his hair was slightly damp. He looked really good. When Leo saw me he smiled and got up. I slipped on some black strappy sandals and me and Leo headed out.

We walked along the shore, hand in hand. The sun set over the horizan. The gorgeous blue water was sparkling. There was a slight warm wind. My hair was blowing in the breeze. It literally seemed like a movie scene. This was perfect.

" The sunset looks beautiful doesn't it? " I said in awe.

" It sure does " Leo said softly.

Leo and I sat down on the warm sand. I rested my head on his shoulder as we watched the sunset. The water brushing the tip of our feet. Slight warm wind. Hand in hand with Leo.

I might take sometime to update and that's because it's the last week of school and I really wanna spend time with my friends because some of them I won't see because they are moving :( So yeah.
