Broken Love

Chapter 40

Sadie's POV
A hand covered my mouth and I felt someone hold a knife at my neck. I dropped my glass and stood there, frozen.

The blade pressed against my throat. I felt the sharp metal cut a thin line on my skin. Blood trickled down my neck and I stifled a whimper.

" You're mine " a strange venom voice whispered in my ear.

I struggled to get out of his grip, being extra careful not to hit the knife. He was incredibally strong so I was stuck. I did the only thing I could think of. I bit down on his hand. He winced but quickly hit my stomach with the handle of the knife. I coughed.

With out thinking I kicked his stomach and flipped him over my head. He tripped me and I was sent crashing to the floor. My head roughly hit the corner of the table on my way down. The man scrambled to his feet and held his knife above my heart.

It felt like my heart would explode. I have never been this terrified in my life. All the bad things that happened flashed through my mind. At this moment I felt like I only had seconds to live. There was a pit of sadness, depression, and terror building up in my stomach. My heart was beating rapidly. I couldn't think straight. Pictures of my loved ones filled my mind. I was shaking head to toe.

I felt dizzy; the whole world was spinning. Tears blurred my vision.

This is it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I'm sorry I died so easily. I'm sorry I hurt anyone. I'm sorry.....Ed.

" You're my seventh victim Angelo " the man snickered.

The sharp blade peirced into my arm. He drew seven tally lines. My skin burned and stung. I felt blood run down my arm. I clentched my jaw to surpress the pain. The man raised his knife and swung it at my heart. I closed my eyes and prepared myself for the impact. I couldn't move or talk it was like I was paralyzed.

Suddenly the extra weight was pushed off of me.

Was I dead?

" Don't you dare f*****g touch her " a familier voice said with hatred pouring into every word.

I opened my eyes and blinked a few times to clear my vision. I saw Leo standing infront of me, protectively. He turned his head and looked at me dead in the eyes. His expression softened.

" Sadie leave " he demanded.

I couldn't form words to say. I just shook my head, no. I looked pasted Leo and saw the man sitting against a wall; his head swinging back and forth.

Leo crouched down and helped me sit up. As soon as I was sitting up, leaning against a chair a nausioux feeling came over me. My head felt heavey and the whole world was still spinning.

" Sadie stay back this will only take a minute " Leo said soothingly.

I nodded and just as he was about to go a grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

" B-be car-careful " I managed to say.

He nodded and stood up. Leo grabbed the guy by his collar and punched him. Things started to slowly fade and everything went black.

My eyes slowly opened. I was blinded by the light. I through the covers over my head but winced from the pain in my left arm. There were scars on my arm. Seven of them. There were seven tally marks on my left arm. I recalled what happend before I blacked out.
