Jayden (POV):
The day had gone by fairly quickly since speaking with Kellan. Everyone in the house had been both shocked and excited when they saw my transformation. The look of pride on Dylan and Astrid's faces was an image that would forever be burned into my mind. Then there was Ivy who had looked up at me with tears in her eyes. The amount of love that radiated off her made tears spring to my own eyes as I wrapped her up in a hug. Being around my biological parents was still a bit of a mind fuck for me but it was slowly becoming more and more normal as time passed.
We had explained to everyone that Kellan and Seth were going to join us sometime today. I knew we were going to need quite a few people if we were going to rescue Alice and Violet. For the first time since Alice and Violet had gone missing I felt a little more optimistic about finding them. Maybe it was because I had bonded with Aurora and Jasmine or maybe it was because my inner wolf had been released. Either way I felt more confident that I would find my missing mates. My senses felt heightened and the feeling of fear that had previously filled my body was all but gone. Everything inside me was telling me that we needed to go back to the castle. But first I needed to wait for Kellan and Seth to arrive.
Everyone had been a bit on edge since Violet and Alice went missing. Since then everyone besides me, Aurora and my siblings had taken turns to do patrols of the perimeter. Jasmine took it upon herself to fly over the area every hour or so. It was next to impossible to keep her still, every instinct in her body was urging her to protect us. We did however manage to convince her to join us for dinner while Alex and Ivy patrolled the perimeter. We were only about 10 minutes into dinner when there was a knock on the front door.
A smile broke out across my face when I heard the knock. "That should be Kellan and Seth." I said standing up from my chair.
Excitement took over me as I moved towards the front door. It had felt like an eternity since I had seen my best friends. To be quite honest it had been difficult not having them to talk to on a regular basis. With one swift motion I swung the front door open.
Kellan's eyes widened as he took in my large frame. "You weren't kidding little J!"
Seth chuckled from behind him. "I think J is right, I don't think you can call her that anymore."
Kellan rolled his eyes. "You are stuck with that nickname until I die so deal with it." He said pulling me into a tight hug, Seth's arms also wrapped around me as he joined in on the hug.
My body instantly relaxed into the hug. "I missed you both." I said as my lower lip began to tremble.
The warmth of the embrace caused a tidal wave of emotions to crash into me all at once. Tears began to spill from my eyes as I buried my head into the crook of Kellan's neck. "We missed you too." Both men said as they tightened their hold on me.
I'm not sure how long we were standing in the doorway but from behind us I heard a low rumble followed by a scoff. "That's enough Jazz, they are just her friends." Aurora scolded.
The sound of Aurora's voice caused both men to pull away from the hug. Kellan's eyes widened when he first laid eyes on Jasmine. I wasn't sure if it was in fear or in awe. On second thought it was definitely the ladder if the dopey grin that spread across his face was anything to go by. Seth on the other hand looked as though his eyes were going to pop out of his head.
"Aurora, it's nice to see you again." Kellan said with a large grin still plastered to his face. "I don't think we've met before." He said, turning his gaze towards Jazz who had her arms crossed against her chest. "I'm Kellan and this is my mate Seth." He said gesturing towards Seth.
The tips of Jasmine's wings reached out wrapping themselves around my waist. Gently they pulled me back against Jazz's body. I couldn't help the sigh that fell from my lips as my body made contact with hers. Once I was firmly against her the tips of her wings reached out again pulling Aurora towards her as well.
