Jayden (POV):
It had been a week since the rescue and things were starting to feel normal again. Well almost normal, Alice still hadn't woken up but her body had fully healed. Claire was still optimistic that she would wake up even though the four of us were starting to get impatient. Violet spent every night and most of the day by Alice's side. The only way we managed to convince her to sleep with us at night was by moving Alice's bed up against ours. Which in hindsight we could have done a lot sooner. It was a million times more comforting having her next to us.
Since Violet was having such a hard time with waiting for Alice to wake up the three of us would take turns keeping her mind busy. Most of the time we would all just hangout in my room, but throughout the day we made sure that we spent individual time with each other. As much as I loved being with all my mates I enjoyed our one on one time more. When I got to spend individual time with them it gave me the chance to really get to know them. It took me spending time with each of them to realize that I didn't really know my mates very well. Everything had happened so fast that we never got the chance to get to know each other on a deeper level.
Our bond by default made me feel an unconditional love for each of them. Even more so towards Aurora and Jasmine who I had already bonded with. Violet, Alice and I hadn't gotten to complete our bond yet so I didn't feel the intense feelings that I felt towards Jasmine and Aurora. However now that I had gotten to spend one on one time with Violet over the last week I could definitely say I was in love with her with or without the bond.
"So have you decided what you want to do about Wren?" I asked Jasmine as the four of us walked into my bedroom after dinner.
Jasmine shook her head. "No not yet, I was hoping to talk to Alice about it when she wakes up. Sophie wants to tear her apart, and so does Jenny. I'm almost inclined to let them have their way with her." Jasmine said with a small laugh.
"I wouldn't mind getting my hands on her." Violet grumbled as she crawled onto the bed.
"I know, sweet girl." Jasmine cooed as she pulled Violet into her arms.
Since getting back Claire had been in charge of keeping Wren contained. Currently she is being held in one of the guest bedrooms. It had taken her a few hours but she managed to put a barrier around the room that would contain Wren and restrict the use of her magic. Over the last week everyone had discussed what we should do with her. Everyone had agreed that it would be up to my mates and I. Since none of us wanted to even think about Wren we left it up to Jasmine since she was our alpha. If Alice was awake we knew that she and Jasmine would have handled the situation together.
Personally I had no desire to make any pack decisions, I was more than happy to support my mates and help in any way possible. With everything going on in my life I just didn't have the energy or drive to take charge. There was too much happening and my mind just felt overloaded. If I was honest with myself I never quite saw myself as a leader all I wanted to was to love and support my mates and to be part of a family. Especially now that I had experienced getting to be part of a large family, I couldn't wait to have kids of my own. Jasmine on the other hand was more than content being in charge, it seemed to give her a sense of purpose.
"Vi I need you to move for a second I have an idea." Jasmine said with a smile. We all watched as she climbed out of the bed and walked over to the side of Alice's bed. Carefully she began to untuck the blonde woman.
"You know Claire is going to kill us right?" Aurora said with a chuckle as Jasmine carefully lifted Alice out of her bed and into ours.
Jasmine rolled her eyes. "It's not like she's hooked up to any of the machines anymore. Think of how happy she will be when she wakes up with all of us around her instead of just one or two of us." Jasmine said as she tucked Alice in.
