Jayden (POV):

Surprisingly enough everyone had been waiting on Gabby, Storm, Aurora and I to arrive. When we first joined the group the energy was pretty tense. My mom had been pacing around a lot, staring at the castle in the distance. I could practically feel how badly she wanted to get inside the castle. Sophie had informed us that Kellan and Seth had gone ahead and re-entered the castle grounds just before we had arrived. From what I could see it looked to be the usual guards that were posted along the perimeter. Nothing looked out of the ordinary and the barrier wasn't closed. Which I wasn't sure was a good thing or a bad thing.

"Is everyone ready?" I asked as Gabby and Storm came to stand by my mates and I.

"If something goes wrong you need to contact us immediately." My mom said looking at Aurora.

"I know, I know, contact you if things get bad. " Aurora huffed. "You do realize Jasmine could probably handle most of this on her own."

My mom let out a soft growl. "Well two of the people with you are part of my pack and I'm responsible for their safety." She said with a hard stare.

The look she was giving Aurora made my skin prickle and my hair stand on edge. I could feel Daphne start to get uneasy and unconsciously I let out a low warning growl. My mom stiffened as her eyes snapped towards me. We held each other's gaze until Alex walked over and gave my mom's bicep a firm squeeze.

"Dill you need to take it down a notch, come over here with us for a bit." Alex said calmly tugging my mom towards the rest of her mates.

Ever since we had left the house my mom had been on edge. I knew it was because of what happened the last time they had been here. Quite honestly she had every right to be on edge. The last time they were here not only did she lose her dad but she could have lost me and my mum. So I understood why she was acting the way she was, however the way she was acting was putting Aurora on edge. It was in our nature to follow our Alpha which in our case was Alice and Jasmine. However Aurora was already part of my moms pack and hadn't officially parted from that pack. I could tell her omega was conflicted on following my moms orders.

Jasmine pulled Aurora against her so her back was against Jasmine's chest. "It's okay Rory, she's just worried for her daughters." She whispered to her omega. "Just do what she says for now, once this is over you it'll just be the five of us." Jasmine murmured against the top of her head.

"I know..." Aurora sighed. "But you are more than capable of protecting us and so is Jayden." Aurora huffed as she crossed her arms tightly across her chest.

While Jasmine comforted Aurora, Violet moved in front of me gently looping her arms around my neck. She nuzzled her face in the crook of my neck. The feeling of her breath against my skin made goose bumps pebble across my skin. Bringing my hands to her hips I pulled her closer, our bodies now pressed together tightly.

"Aurora's right, you know? You are just as capable of protecting us just like our Alpha's can." She said quietly into the crook of my neck.

A small smirk pulled at my lips. "Oh I know, but it's kind of amusing watching Jasmine walk around with a big head. If I wanted to I could put her on her ass." I whispered into Violet's ear.

Violet giggled and Jasmine turned to look at us with an arched brow. "Are you two over there talking shit about me?"

I gasped "We wouldn't talk shit about our Alpha." I said as a small smile tugged at my lips.

Jasmine rolled her eyes. "For the record I'd love to see you put me on my ass." She replied with a smug smirk.

"That could be arranged." I said with a wink.
