The streets of Oro are in mayhem. Screams of men, women and children alike fill the air. The winds have completely died down, leaving the city vulnerable. Fireballs and ice shards rain into the city from above, burning and piercing the panicking citizens. Loud thuds shake the gate to the city. With all the commotion, Drayk opens his eyes. The sounds of screams ring in his ears. He shakes Roku until she awakes, then runs to the window to look outside.

Bodies cover the streets and buildings have been set on fire. The safe haven has been breached. The blacksmith shop next door has burned completely to the ground. The roof of the inn is on fire, slowly burning away at the shingles. Drayk throws on his garbs and grabs his sword. Roku gets dressed as well ans throws he twin blades over her shoulders. The Bringers run out of the inn just in time to see the mighty gates slam to ground, crushing some guards.

Elite Soldiers have infiltrated the city walls. The Resistance was not ready for an attack like this. Elites are slaughtering people of all ages as they cover the city streets. Drayk draws out his sword and starts to attack the soldiers. Roku cannot believe the destruction. She had never seen anything like this, not even in history books. Raising her arms into the air, Roku calls forth a strong wind. Gusts blast through the streets, blowing everyone in its path out of the city.

"I see you are still here, Bringers of Hope!" Karleigh's voice echoes all around, "I'm happy you're here to witness the fall of the Resistance!"

"Come out and face us!" Roku yells.

"Now now Riinah. We will have time to settle what we started at another time. I'm not traveling all the way there!" Karleigh laughs as her voice fades away.

"Where's Lady Quintly?" Drayk asks Blake as he runs past.

"She's safe," he replies as he makes a tornado to carry away Elite Soldiers, "You two get out of here. This isn't your fight."

"Bullshit it's not," Drayk snarls, "This city has been nothing but good to us."

Drayk charges into enemy lines and slashes Elites to pieces. Fire and ice are still raining in from above. These mages had to go. He bolts outside of the city walls to see dozens of mages casting their magic into the city. Sheathing his sword, he summons up some storm clouds. Lightning strikes the mages one by one.

Inside the gates, Roku is ripping the ground open to swallow the Elites into the earth. She looks up into the sky with both arms raised. Typhoon rains pour onto the burning fires, extinguishing them. This city had been so good to them, she had to help protect them. The sound of Drayk yelling fills Roku with panic. She runs out of the city to see him standing in place, almost frozen. A man is standing a few yards in front of him. The man is wearing a black cloak, but his face is clearly visible.

The face makes Roku's heart sink. That face was so familiar to her. That man was the one who attacked her home! It was Drayk's father, Lance! He is part of the Resistance and has been missing for months, presumably dead. He stands before Drayk, who cannot find himself to move. He is frozen with shock at the sight of his father.

"Dad?" Drayk asks shakily.

"Long time no see Drayk," Lance smirked, "So the Dark Lord was right. You have been chosen as a Bringer of Hope."

"Why are you here?"

"That's no way to greet your father!"

"If you have sided with the Elites.... you are no longer family to me."

"Well then Drayk.... I'll just have to kill you too!"

Lance pulls out a massive broadsword from thin air. Its blade was almost as tall as he was. He places his left hand on the blade's edge and it ignites into blue fire. Letting out a yell, he charges at Drayk, who still finds himself standing still. He cannot believe his father has joined them. All this time he was supposedly dead. Right before Lance reaches him, he draws his scimitar and blocks the oncoming attack.
