A week had passed since the invasion and Dr. Alicia had finished counting all the casualties and helped all the injured. Dozens had died that day and a ceremony for their memory had been planned for that night. Jason had left the infirmary only a day before as Dr. Alicia wanted to keep an eye on him but it seemed like Evelin had done a wonderful job healing him. Despite that, Jason was all day there, keeping Evelin company. He literally never left her side and even though she was still unconscious he was sure she could feel him next to her.

According to Dr. Alicia, Evelin had fallen into a coma due to the extreme energy outbreak she went through. Her body couldn't handle it so it fell asleep and would remain asleep for as long it would take it to heal on its own. Her body should go through this on its own and there was nothing the healers could do besides providing her with the right amount of oxygen, daily care and make sure she wouldn't starve to death.

But no one forgot her. Her friends and family visited her every day and made sure she'd never be left alone. Rebecka was sitting next to the bed caressing Evelin's right hand while watching Jason taking a nap with his head on Evelin's mattress. Even asleep he just couldn't let go of Evelin's hand. Evelin's mother was proud of her daughter and hopefully her son in law.

"And to think I preferred Beck over him!" She confessed to her husband who was seating on the red sofa across the room.

"Beck's a good kid." Steven smiled. "But he's not the one for Evelin. The way she feels about him..." he pointed at Jason, " I don't think she could ever feel that way for someone else. The right girl for Beck will come. He just has to wait a little."

Jason slowly woke up and as he lifted his head, he noticed Steven on the sofa.

"You're here early..." He said while rubbing his eyes. "I didn't wait for you until an hour later. I assume everything is planned for tonight?"

"Yes. I had finished everything with the preparations; you don't need to worry about anything. How about you? You will come to the ceremony, right?"

"As much as I'd like to stay here with her," he caressed Evelin's hand. "I also feel responsible for all the lost souls and lives so I'll honor them by coming. It's the least I can do for their families. Speaking of families, how is Beck and Anabeth?"

"They are both pretty shaken up. He is trying to cheer her up but...it's not easy for her, knowing that her father died in a battle her boyfriend help start."

"Have you heard anything from James?"

"No. Since he opened our gates to the enemy ...every trail of him is gone. It's like he disappeared from the face of earth."

"How on earth did we end up in this mess?" Jason wondered while cupping his face with his hands.

"Everything will be better." Rebecka surprised them, they had forgotten her presence. "Wolf, I know Evelin will be okay. Call it a mother's instinct but I am sure of it. And as for James... there must be a reason to his betrayal. We just have to find it out."

"You are right, thank you. Oh and by the way, don't call me Wolf anymore. My real name is Jason. Wolf is gone and Jason is brought back to life."

"Well, nice to meet you Jason." Rebecka grinned and extended her hand to shake his.

A few hours later Beck came to inform them about the beginning of the ceremony. He would be the one to stay with Evelin and watch her while everyone else would be full, grieving for their lost ones.

"You really should go." Beck said as he touched Jason's shoulder. "I'll keep an eye on her until you are back."

"Thank you." Jason said sincerely while shaking Beck's hand as a sign of gratitude and perhaps the beginning of a friendship.

He turned around and looked at Evelin for one more time before giving her a lovely kiss on the forehead and left the room. Beck was left alone with Evelin and he took a seat next to the bed.

"Okay... I can see why you love him." He sighed. "He is kind and loyal and trustworthy. He loves you deeply and you love him too. Plus he looks extremely sexy with that black suit he is wearing... Okay, that sounded weird. If you ever tell anyone I said that I'll take away your talisman until you blow yourself up!" Beck said while his cheeks couldn't be redder.

He got serious again and just stared at her while sighing.

"Can you even hear what I'm saying? Seriously, you have to wake up and help me here. Anabeth is crying all day. For you, for her father, for James... It's too drama for a guy to handle! I just... I wish you woke up. And I also wish I knew what you are dreaming about that makes you want to keep sleeping..."

"You have interesting wishing my dear Beck." Rebecka appeared at the door.

"Oh my God! Mrs. Grey... you startled me!"

"Oh... I'm sorry I didn't mean it."

"Weren't you supposed to be at the ceremony?"

"I couldn't go... I wanted to be by Evelin's side..." She headed to the window. "Also I see perfectly from here too. Come and see for yourself." She kindly gestured him to approach and he stood up from his seat and looked outside.

"Wow! It's so...." Beck couldn't find the words to describe it.

"Beautiful? Yes... but also very sad." She said. "Beck, I want you to remember that everything will happen when the right time comes... you don't have to feel so... responsible for everything and everyone. Okay?"

"Yes Mrs. Grey."

"Call me Rebecka... I've told you so many times."

"Yes... Rebecka." He smiled at her and then continued looking at the pitch black night outside that was only lighted by the dozens of boats that were crossing the sea.

Each little boat carried a friend that was no longer with them and every boat was on fire so their friends' souls could be freed and move on with no regret.

And while Beck and Rebecka were grieving for their lost ones, Evelin was traveling to a world that belonged only to her...

In the world of her memories...
