Another Ring echoed throughout the home from the door and Bilbo ran to answer it. As it opened all the dwarves started to dribble out to greet them in the entrance along with Gandalf and me too. The door then fully revealed a dark haired dwarf who was taller that the other and had to duck his head bellow the entrance to enter.
"Gandalf. I thought you said this place would be easy to find. I lost my way, twice. I wouldn't have found it at all had it not been for that mark on the door."the tall figure spoke to Gandalf.
"Mark? Theres no mark on the door." Bilbo said worriedly looking at his door.
"There is a mark; I put it there myself. Bilbo Baggins, allow me to introduce the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield." Gandalf said quickly.
"So, this is the Hobbit. Tell me, Mr. Baggins, have you done much fighting?" This 'Thorin' said stepping closer to my uncle, making him shrink into his boots. But before Bilbo had a chance to answer, Thorin had spotted me. "And who are you?" His face turning to me.
"Uh." I cleared my throat, my hands dropping from my back to my sides, "Pilda. Pilda Baggins at your service."
"And what service could you have to offer me?" He said in a curious, not harmful way.
"Well, i may have heard that you are in need of a Burglar, Sir Oakenshield." I smiled a bit too much.
"And i suspect our wizard has found one in Bilbo here." He turned to face Bilbo.
"What? No. No." Bilbo said, lifting a comedically raised finger. "I already said i wished for none of this." He faced Gandalf.
"We will speak later." Gandalf huffed out between the coughs of his smoke.
Thorin said nothing more to me and walked past Gandalf out to the large wood table. I went to grab a candle for light to bring with me and light a few of the candle around the room as the light was completely gone from the grey sky. As the dwarves talked, i never bothered to listen to much until Bilbo had stepped in."You're going on a quest?" He said, leaning in over the shoulder of Thorin to the dwarves.
"Bilbo, my dear fellow, let us have a little more light." Gandalf asked him, pulling things from his pockets.
"Got it." I said simply, laying down the blazing candle beside Thorin on the table but he gave me such a frozen glance That i shook. It was then that i noticed his eyes were ice cold when looking at me. I propped myself up and decided it was best that i must butter Gandalf up if i had any desire to go.
I walked away from Thorin and over to Gandalf, standing beside him. I listened as Thorin spoke of the mountain and their mission. I was honestly in awe of their ideas... But then the group suddenly lost their voices and turned quiet but not for long as Fili practically sprang out of his seat.
"We may be few in number, but we're fighters, all of us, to the last dwarf!" He spoke out, loudly slamming his clenched fist on the table. I think my eyes grew ten sized at this sight, seeing the dwarf so intense. I think maybe my heart even skipped a beat as he looked around at us, eyebrows furrowed. It gave me a sense of fire in my whole body.
"And you forget, we have a wizard in our company. Gandalf will have killed hundreds of dragons in his time." Kili spoke up nodding at the others. My eyes popped back to Fili and then to Kili and beside me at Gandalf who bore a strange expression before coughing on his smoke.
"Well," that was all i could hear before the dwarves stood up shouting at Gandalf who hung his head to the floor. All i did was just stare at Gandalf in shock at what noise these dwarves could muster. Fingers pointing and spit flying around me like a hurricane...
