Lily looked at Klaus, who laid in his bed, unconscious but clearly in extreme pain, Lily's eyes went towards the door when she heard footsteps, "Elijah" she whispered, before her eyes narrowed and she glared at the original, "Why the hell is the dagger still inside him?".

"I needed to give Marcel and Rebekah more time" Elijah said, Lily had tried to take the dagger out in the hospital but Elijah stopped her and told her he would take it out once they were back in the compound, and now they were back in the compound but Papa Tunde's blade was still inside Klaus.

"I don't care about Marcel and Rebekah!" Lily snapped, "Elijah, do I need to remind you that the longer the dagger stays in him, the more he suffers? Take it out, now!".

"I'm here to remove it" Elijah assured, standing by the bed Klaus laid on, as he rolled up the sleeve of his shirt, "You might want to take a step back".

"Is it wise to be here when he wakes up?" Lily asked.

"Of all the people that could be here, you're the only one he wouldn't slaughter" Elijah replied.

"I wasn't talking about myself" Lily clarified, "I was talking about you".

Elijah looked at Lily, "We're about to find out" he said, before grabbing a scalpel and starting to cut down Klaus's stomach, Lily immediately looked away the moment Elijah shoved his hand into Klaus's stomach, "Lily, he loves you, you are probably the only girl he speaks of with respect, you challenge him to see himself and others in a new light".

"I'm gonna be sick" Lily mumbled, after seeing Elijah pull out the blade from Klaus's stomach.

"A wonderful skill that I shall be counting on very shortly" Elijah continued, "You see Niklaus, will be weak as he recovers, so watch over him and feed him if you would but slowly, please, perhaps you could use the time constructively, persuade him not to murder his baby sister".

Lily let out a sigh, "I'll try Elijah but I'm his girlfriend, not his ruler, at the end of the day, Klaus will do what Klaus wants".

"That's what I'm afraid of the most" Elijah said, before leaning over his brother, "Niklaus, it was not my desire to bring you pain, but I will not see you hurt Rebekah".

"Elijah" a weak Klaus whispered, "You will pay for this".

Lily looked at Elijah, "I don't want to say this but I did tell you that if you stab him with that damn blade, he's going to want hurt Rebekah and you, and now here we are".

"Just be here with him" Elijah told Lily.

"Trust me, there's no where else I want to go" Lily said, "Oh and by the way, I should probably tell you that I captured Celeste aka Sabine and now Hayley and Stefan have her captured in the bayou".

"Excuse me?" a shocked Elijah asked.

"Celeste is the only one who can break the curse on the crescent wolves" Lily reminded, "Hayley and Stefan are convincing her to do that, I would have been there but I couldn't leave Klaus in your hands".

Elijah sighed, "You're mad at me as well?".

"Elijah, I understand you wanting to protect Rebekah, but I didn't take well when my own sister tried to hurt Klaus, I'm not going to take you hurting him either" Lily stated, before walking away and sitting on the bed by Klaus, she ran her hand through his hair, Elijah looked between Klaus and Lily for a moment, before turning away and walking out of the room.
