05. Sinners And Saints

After kidnapping Sophie from her workplace, Klaus forced her to sit on a chair in the living room, "We had a deal" a furious Klaus reminded, "You protect my unborn child and Lily, I dismantle Marcel's army, and whilst I've been busy fulfilling my part of the bargain, you allowed Lily to be attacked and almost killed by a gaggle of lunatic witches".

"I had nothing to do with it, I swear" Sophie defended, "Lily and I are linked, remember? She dies, I die".

"Then who were the people who attacked me?" a curious Lily asked, as she entered the room with Stefan, Rebekah already there.

"They're a faction of extremists" Sophie informed, as Lily took a seat next to Klaus who immediately laced their hands together, "Sabine stupidly told them about some vision she had about the baby".

"What kind of vision?" Klaus asked.

"She has them all the time" Sophie replied, "They're totally open to interpretation, I'm guessing she's wrong on this one".

"Well, how, may I ask, was this particular vision interpreted?" Klaus asked.

"Pretty much that your baby would bring death to all witches" Sophie revealed.

"I'm sorry, what?!" a shocked Lily asked.

"Ah, well, I grow fonder of this child by the second" an amused Klaus said.

Lily looked at Klaus, "No!" she said, "Our child isn't going to become a killer unless it is absolutely necessary".

"What if killing all the witches does become absolutely necessary?" Klaus asked.

"If the baby is anything like you and Lily, then no one will be able to stop it from eliminating a threat" Stefan said.

"Exactly" Klaus agreed.

Lily glared at both Klaus and Stefan, "Can we stop talking about my unborn child like this?!".

"Sophie, look" Rebekah said, bringing the conversation back to Sophie, "I promised Elijah that I would protect the Mikaelson miracle baby whilst he tries to win your witch Davina's loyalty, why don't you tell me just how extreme this faction is?".

"Elijah is talking to Davina?" a shocked Sophie asked.

"Yeah, as we speak, I imagine" Rebekah said.

"I'm guessing she'll have plenty to say about that crowd" Sophie said.

"Do tell" Klaus insisted.

"I wasn't always an advocate for the witches" Sophie informed, "My sister was devoted like our parents, and our upbringing was very strict, which drove me nuts, the minute I turned twenty one, I left the quarter to travel and play, but I wanted to be a chef, so I came back to Rousseau's".

"What the hell is a harvest?" a confused Lily asked after Sophie told them about her sister visiting her one day and telling that after the elders vote, the witches decided to go ahead with the harvest.

"It's a ritual our coven does every three centuries so that the bond to our ancestral magic is restored" Sophie informed, "We appease our ancestors, they keep our ancestral power flowing".
