Klaus bit into a wrist of a women he had compelled, he then placed her wrist on top of his glass and let her blood pour into it, "Have you spoken to our good friend Marcel today?" a curious Klaus asked his sister, who was sitting next to Lily on the breakfast table.

"No, should I have?" Rebekah asked, a cup of coffee in her hand.

"Well, he's been mysteriously silent, avoiding me, some might say" Klaus said, "I thought, perhaps, he may have whispered reasons into your ear along will all of those sweet nothings".

"If I see him, I'll be sure to ask if he's still sore at you" Rebekah said.

"Let me give a voice to that look in your eyes" Klaus said, as he took the seat on the other side of Lily, who didn't even try and get between the siblings argument, she just kept eating the cereal the baby was craving, "My saintly, noble brother lies writhing in agony in the bayou, victim of my bastard brother's bite when just one or two drops of his blood would ease his pain".

"At least your self away" Lily teased, Klaus rolled his eyes at Lily's comment, but instead of say anything to her, he grabbed a spoon of cereal and fed it to the werewolf, who after eating it gave him a huge smile, making Klaus smile back.

"On the contrary, Nik" Rebekah said, bringing Klaus's attention back to her, "I am simply enjoying my brekkie waiting for Elijah's healthy return".

"Oh, come on, Rebekah" Klaus snapped, "You've been giving me the devil's eye all morning, out with it".

"Perhaps I'm concerned that if I voice my opinion about what you did to Elijah, I will end up on the wrong side of your toxic hybrid teeth" Rebekah said.

Klaus slammed his hand on the table, "Poppycock, I would never bite you, Elijah made some very offensive accusations about my intentions towards my child, he deserves a day or two of discomfort, besides, you know my preferred method of punishment for your indiscretions is the dagger".

Rebekah let out a humorless chuckle, before she stood up and leaned over the table, "There is something fundamentally wrong with you".

Once Rebekah had walked away, Lily lightly slammed her head on the table, "Just one peaceful morning" she mumbled, "Is that too much to ask for?".

"In this family, yes" Klaus said.

Lily let out a sigh before she stood up from her seat, "Well, I'm off then".

Before Lily could walk away, Klaus grabbed her wrist, "And where are you off to?".

"Stefan has been with Elijah all night, I'm going to go relive him" Lily informed making Klaus frown.

"Lily--".

"Klaus" Lily interrupted before Klaus could say anything, "I didn't interfere between you and Elijah because I know Elijah's words hurt you, that's why I stayed with you all night making sure you were okay, now I need to go make sure he's fine".

"Are me and Elijah the same for you?" a frowning Klaus asked.

Lily sighed, "I care for Elijah" she admitted, "As a friend, you, I love, you're not the same, but I will never leave either of you when you're hurt", Lily leaned forward and placed her lips on Klaus, "Now be good till I get back".
