16. Bring It On

Hayley walked out of a diner, she walked between two trucks when suddenly she heard something behind her, turning around she saw no one behind her, she quickly turned the other direction when another noise hit her ears, the moment she turned around, she saw a man standing there, the man, who turned out to be a vampire, speeded over to Hayley and held her in a choke hold and then slammed on to the the truck behind her and then threw her on the ground.

"That's not how you treat a lady" Lily said, appearing behind the vampire, before the vampire could register anything, Lily ended up biting him in his neck, after throwing the vampire on the floor, Lily looked at Hayley.

"You came" Hayley whispered.

"You didn't really give me much of a choice" Lily retorted, forwarding her hand towards Lily, who gladly grabbed Lily's hand and let her pull her up, the two werewolves attention went towards the vampire who had speeded away, "Relax, the werewolf venom in him won't let him make it through tomorrow night".

"What if they are more?" a scared Hayley asked.

"Of course they're going to be more" Lily said, "You were dumb enough to make a deal with someone who has only looked out of herself, Katherine used you to find the cure, now that she has the cure, she's taking care of her loose ends, which includes you, good luck surviving".

"Klaus said he would protect me" Hayley reminded.

"Why do you think I'm here?" Lily asked, "I'm here to keep Klaus's end of the deal, I'll protect you from Katherine, as long as you tell me everything you know about her plan".

Klaus opened the front door of his mansion and immediately let out an annoyed groan seeing Damon standing on the other side, "What an unpleasant surprise" he taunted.

Damon walked past Klaus and into the living room where Lily was already sitting, reading a book, she immediately rolled her eyes in annoyance seeing Damon, "So I just came up with a list, it's called things you suck at" Damon told Klaus, "Number one, finding Katherine, ever, number two, covering up your secret phone conversations with that little backstabber Hayley, yeah, so, where is she? And what does she know about Katherine?".

"I should help you?" Klaus asked Damon, who nodded his head in response, "After you lot killed my brother, imprisoned me and my little luna in the Gilbert living room".

"You might want to prioritize Klaus, you have much bigger problems" Damon warned, "Katherine has the cure, my guess is she's gonna want to cram it down your throat, you help me find Katherine, I'll get the cure, I'll give it to Elena, everybody wins, just let me question Hayley about Katherine".

"No" Lily said, her eyes stuck on her book, "Hayley is under our protection", Lily lifted her eyes from her book and looked at Damon, "But I might have had a little run in with a vampire who might've known where Katherine is, yeah he could have helped you, if I hadn't bit him in his neck", Lily waved her fingers at Damon, "Now run along and go be Elena's little errand boy, I no longer want to see your face".

A chuckling Klaus sat next to Lily, he put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her into a kiss, a smiling Lily quickly straddled him and deepened the kiss, while an annoyed Damon walked out the Mikaelson mansion after realising he wasn't going to get anymore answers from Klaus or Lily.
