Unexpected - Chapter 2
I tugged down at my sweater nervously. I wasn't prepared for this at all. I looked at my skema for the fourth time now. It was math.
I walked down the corridor filled with loud chatting teenagers.
Walking with my all books, I just recieved from the headmaster, I felt someone bump into me, making all the books fall down. I bend down, just waiting for someone to make fun of me, but the laughter never came. Instead an apology."Oh my god, i'm so sorry!" A female voice exclaims. I looked up and saw a girl with brown hair just down the shoulders, helping me pick up my books.
"Oh, it's alright." I smiled, suprised by her kindness. Having all of my books in my arms, I was already on my way to math, but then she said something. "You're new right?" Probably knowing it from the amount of school books I had. I just simply nodded.
"I'm Katy." She smiled, which I returned with. This was so unusual to me. Why was everybody all of a sudden kind to me?
She took the skema out of my hand, and looked at it.
"Aww, I don't have math. But you wanna meet up in the cafeteria?" She asked. She wanted to meet up?"Yeah... um sure, but I don't know where it is." I said awkwardly. I had got shown around by the headmaster, but I didn't remeber any of it. I couldn't hear what she was blabbering on about, because of my nervousness.
She let out a chuckle. "I'll meet you outside math. See ya, Maggie." She called out as the bell rang. I walked in a fast tempo into the class, and sat down on a empty chair. I wouldn't want to be too late on my first date, because then people would notice me, and I didn't want that.
The classroom was quite small, and is squeezed together with all the tables and students.
The teacher arrived, and placed some papers down at the desk.
"Quiet now, class!" She hushed, and fixed her little black glasses.
She had the typical teacher look. Pencil skirt, white shirt plus a blazer, and a tight bun. I only thought you saw those kind of typed in movies.
She didn't look like she could do math though.Almost everybody turned their direction at her. I was suprised by, everybody obeying the teacher. At my old school, everyone didn't care if the teacher was here or not, they just kept on talking.

I gathered my things, and walked out of the door.
The teacher was so busy with her math things, she didn't even notice, I was there. So did the other student neither.Katy was standing outside, waiting for me, and I smiled when I saw it. I really didn't expect it. I thought she was gonna dump me, or make fun of me for believing that she was gonna be there. This was comepletely different from what I was used to. But I liked it. I liked not being alone all the time.
We walked into the cafeteria together, and she nodded her head towards a table where two people were already sitting.
"Hey guys, this is Maggie." She sayd, and presented them aswell. The boy's names was Andrew, and the girl's was Kara.
They both greeted me too, and started chatting. I didn't really feel like I could be a part of their conversation, but I just kept quiet, not really knowing what to say. I still didn't quite feel like I fitted in. These people I talked to, was so welcoming and kind to me.
Almost too welcoming. I did not know how to handle it. How to handle talking to new people. That was new to me.
Katy snapped me out if my trance as she suddenly said my name.
"Maggie why, uh... Why is he staring at you?" She said, looking at somebody in the back of me. I slowly glanced behind me, and saw a guy standing still, comepletely doing nothing but staring at me, while wearing a smirk. I recognised him from yesterday. Bradley, I think his name is.
Did Katy know him?"Do you know him?" She asked, as I turned around. She looked at me with wide eyes, waiting for an answer.
"No, not really." I looked at the others, and they also just looked chocked, as if it was weird that I knew him. But I didn't. He only said hi to me yesterday. I was just suprised that he could recognise me. Also that we acctually met again, just like he said.
"Oh." Was all Katy said, looking down. What was suddenly wrong with all of them. You could really feel the tension between the table.
