Unexpected - Chapter 18

Everything was quiet. All I could hear was the sound of my breathing. My tears has dried out.
I was still laying in the pile of pillows.

Suddenly my phone rang. I looked at it, and saw it was Katy. But I wasn't in the mood right now. I wasn't in the mood to talk to anybody. Soon the ringing faded out.

Quiet again.

I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, until it ringed again. Katy. I figured I must be important, and she is also the only one I could stand talking to.

I picked I up. "Hello.." I said slowly.

"Hi can I come over?" She said worried. Like she knew I was sad. She probably saw the post on Facebook.

"Uh.. Yea" I said unsure. I wasn't really in the mood. But why not?

•••

"How are you feeling" she said. Her eyes flickered between mine, while her voice were full of concern.

We were both in my room, sitting in my bed.

"I'm alright" I lied. Of course I'm not.
She just nodded.

"Look.." She started. "I wanna tell you something" I nodded, letting her go on.

"Remember I saw you and Brad hugging at the park?" She looked at me, her eyes were matte. Not glistening and full of life as usual.

"I took the picture of you hugging." She said in a low voice now.

I couldn't believe what she was saying.
Why would she even do that?

"W-why?" I stuttered.

"I'm sorry, i thought she would get jealous. But clearly not.." She said looking down.

"I thought we were friends.."

"We are, it was a mistake. I'm so Sorry" Yeah, it was a mistake. A big one.

"I-i think you should go.."

"But-" she started. She was desperate.

"No.. Please just go" i said sadly. I hated to say it, but I was disapointed in her for doing it.

She stood up, and I could feel her eyes on me, but I ignored them.

Then she left. Leaving me on my own again. A mistake left me feeling empty. Heart and body empty, but eyes filled up with tears.
