Unexpected - Chapter 38
The next day he didn't arrive at school, not that day and the rest of the week. I had no idea why he didn't come. I still couldn't believe he did drugs. Where did he get them from?I looked over at the table besides the school, where some were sitting. I noticed it was Bradley. Well he was one of them, Amy and some others I've seen around them sat there. Bradley was smoking, like usual. Blowing the smoke out slowly, also as usual when I look at him.
~
Then I saw her. Even though I was trying to forget all about her, I couldn't keep my eyes of her. I wanted her, but I shouldn't. She was looking at the table, mostly at me. She wanted me too, I mean why would she then pay so much attention to me? Everybody does, but when it's her, it's different. She's different - in a good way.
"Aye Brad, done staring at her yet?" Jack called besides me, making sure everybody heard him. How typical.
I looked at him, licking my lips quickly, furrowing my eyebrows at him. Why did he even care?
"Thought you've given her enough attention already, don't you think?" He said mockingly.
"Oh, please just shut your fucking mouth will you?" I turned my head, taking a drag of the cigarette.
"Not getting feelings for her, are ya?" Mike suddenly asked, annoying. I looked back again, this time greeted by Amy's angry eyes.
"No, I'm... done with her." I shrug, standing up, letting the cigarette fall to the ground. "She's not worth it." I said, mashed it with my foot, and left the table.
They wasn't worth it either.
~
"I mean, It's like he hates me now." I explained to Katy. We were in her room, talking after school. "And I have no idea why."
"Maybe he's just..." She started, but drifted off. "Yeah, I don't know either." She shrugged and I let out a little laugh.
"On the bright side, you have Kyle." She smiled. I nodded, thinking how greatful I was for acctually have any friends at this school, compared to my last one.
"Speakningen if the devil." She smirked, looking down on my phone, which I just got a text from.
Kyle - Hey, what are you up to tonight, wanna go to the movies? :)
I took my phone up in my hand, ready to write back.
"You should totally say yes!" Katy almost cheered in excitement. I rolled my eyes at her. Maybe it would be a good idea to cheer me up.
Me - Sure, I'd love to:)
"You need to get ready now!" She said almost pulling me out of my bed, because of her excitement to help me.

"I really enjoyed tonight." I smiled, as we stepped outside the cinema. The night was crisp, but not too much. Otherwise it was a pretty windless night.
"Me too." Kyle said and took his arm around my shoulder. "Should I follow you home?"
"That'd be great." I nodded. I don't know why I had the urge to act nice all the time around him. It was like I was acting all the time. Not that I wouldn't be nice, but I did not feel like I could be casual with him. He acted so nice aswell.
As we walked down the street, I was wondering if we were more than friends, and if he even wanted that. Or if I wanted. I guess he's nice and all, but right now I just liked him as a friend. We had been on dates - or I consume it is, and that it suposed to mean something. But I didn't want it to. I just hoped Kyke didn't think that.
We walked past a group of teenagers, and as I look at them I recognise them. One of them being Brad. Of course. I feel like he us everywhere I go. Kyle didn't seem to notice them though.
Brad's eyes met mine, and immediatly he looked mad. More like furious, and a bit confused. His eyes followed us, and they flickered between us. I looked down and walked further down the street, trying to get past him as fast as possible.
When we reached my house, we stopped infront of it. "Thank you for walking me home."
"You're welcome, any time." His voice sounded raspy, so he afterwards cleared his throat. It was this I meant. It was like we were acting towards each other. Well I don't know how Kyle is really, but he's really nice, if he isn't acting just a bit.
He leaned in, but before he could do anything I hugged him. Was he going to kiss me? That meant he wasn't thinking of us as just friends. Or at least I guess so.
"So, I'll see you at some point." He said, as he released me from the awkward hug.
"Yeah, see you." I waved as he walked off.
