Unexpected - Chapter 4

He glanced at me, before pulling me out of there. It was Bradley.

"Got a new girl Brad, huh?" One of the guys said, the one that looked like the leader of the gang, following by some whisteling sounds made by the others.

"Oh, shut up will you?" Bradley turned his head. He snaked his arm around my waist, while walking away with me.

He lowered his head, and whispered in my ear. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you." He tightened his arm around my waist, and pulled me closer into him.

I didn't know where we were going, but I did not know what to say either. He just walked away with me, like he was trying to escape them.

"What the fuck were you doing anyway?" He asked, like it wasn't weird he just saved me from those guys, and now walking with me. We were only strangers. He acted like we had known eachother in a long time.

I just shrugged, which made him chuckle. I looked up at him.
"You don't talk very much, do you?"
He asked looking down at me too. Our eyes locked together for a second, until I turned my direction away from him again.

"Did you know them?" I asked curiously, ignoring his question.
He let go of my waist, and gestured me to sit down on the bench, we had arrived at.

"Yeah, kind of. But don't talk to them again, alright?" He sat down too, looking at me.

"Okay." I nodded. He waited a couple of seconds until he slid his hand down in his pocket, and took out a pack of cigarettes. He was one of them.

"You smoke?" I hated the smell of smoke. You could also just smell it on the people that smoked. It was gross.

"Isn't it obvious, love?" He chuckled, before putting it between his lips, setting fire to the end.
Love. The way he said it was just so casual. I always hated that kind of stupid nicknames, but when he said it, I kind of like it.

"It's unhealthy and gross." I stated, already beginning to feel comfortable talking with him, even though he still was kind of a stranger to me.

He didn't say anything, he just took a drag at the cigarette looking at me intensive, and blew the smoke out in my face.
I coughed, which made him tilt his head back in laughter.

His features was flawless. His eyes, glowing from the lamppost over the bench we were sitting on. His skin, almost looked like porcelain, though with a tint of redness on his cheeks, and a little dark cirkle under his eyes. But nothing more.
His face were beautiful.

He was beautiful.

I looked at my phone, to see what time it was. Shit. It was already 09:56 pm. I promised my mom to be home before 10:00, she would freak out, if I got home later than that.

"I have to go." I mumbled, and stood up.

"Oh, come on Maggie, stay a little. We were having so much fun, don't you think?" He pouted. I was suprised he remembered my name, but on the other hand, I did too, with his name.

"I can't."

"Well, then... Want me to walk you home? You know, it's dangerous for someone like you to walk home alone at night, we don't want anything to happen, do we?" He smirked, and stood up, obviously expecting a yes.

"No, it's fine, you don't have to."

"Alright then, but if something happens, can I get your number so you can call me?" He asked, still with that cheeky grin plastered on his face.

He knew how to get a girls number. Before I could say or do anything, he took my phone out of my hand, and probably typed in his number.

"Here." He smiled, handing me my phone again. I took it, and put in down in my backpocket of my jeans.

"I'll see you around then, Maggie." He winked once again, and sat down on the bench. He then sunk down, in his seat, took a big drag at the cigaret, and blew the smoke out slowly, not breaking his gaze on me.

"Yeah." I just simply answered, as I turned around on my heel, and walked away.

"You know, I expect that call from you, whether or not, something happens!" He shouted after me, letting out a light chuckle afterwards.

But I didn't answer, I just ignored him.
