"Yeah, I'll be there in five minutes." I ended the call, and put my phone back in my pocket again. I was on my way to the poetry club. It had been ages since I've been there. It wasn't every time Felix was on, so that's one of the reasons to it. But lately I haven't got the time.
It was actually not a poetry club, that's just what we called it. It was a cafe, where ever thursday they would set up a little space where you could read your poem out loud. People would come, and see it just like us. For us - It was like our place to go to.
I noticed them sitting at the table, obviously chatting about something.
"Hey Maggie." Katy said all excited. Someone was in a good mood. I just smiled sitting down.
"Guess what?!" She was about to explode of joy and excitement. I cocked an eyebrow, obviously not knowing what.
Andrew rolled his eyes at her muttering "Here we go again." Under his breath.
"I found my prom dress!" She cheered. It seemed like she had told everyone at the table, and they were probably bored, hearing that topic again.
"That's great, I guess." I tried to sound as enthusiasm as I could, but failed since she rolled her eyes at me too.
"How do you guys not care about it? It's school dance!"
"Because, you're the only person on the school who cares about the school dance." Kara pointed out.
"Yeah, Sorry to ask; but do you even have a date?" Felix chirped up.
"No, not yet. But I will." She tried to sound convincing.
"Wanna bet on that?" Andrew asked, taking his hand infront if her, making me laugh, also Felix and Kara.
Just as I was about to say something, my phone beeped. I took it up from my bag, wondering who it was from.
Brad - Don't talk to me ever again. You're such a slut.
I totally forgot about everything around me, and was taken back from that text. When everything fine between us, he had to screw it up. Why when everything going, something bad happens.
Me - What?
He didn't answer after that. I just stared down in my phone, wondering why he would call me that.
"Maggie? Are you alright?" Katy asked. I looked up at her, greeting her big converses eyes.
"Yeah, I just have to go." I lied, taking my things quickly, walking out of there. I needed to ask him why. Why he called me a slut. Why he suddenly sended that text.
