I summon you (Feitan x Reader)

Chapter 20

For a moment, neither of us moved. My mind was fuzzy and processing the scene in front of me. I only snapped back on my senses when I tasted my iron blood inside my mouth.

I immediately scrambled backward, nearly falling off the bed in my panic then stood up in a blushing mess.

"I'm..." I couldn't even finish what I was saying.

My heart was pounding, my mind was spinning and my legs became weak after the incident. What in the world...

Feitan slowly sat up, dripping water all over the blanket as if nothing happened.  He looked at his soaked clothes then around the room, then at me. I don't know if he was blushing like me behind those mask but the next word he said confirmed that he wasn't.

"...Worst nurse."  Those words hit me like a thunder where I immediately forgot about the kiss.

"For the record, I've spent a week taking care of your ungrateful ass when you were sick. A simple thank you would've been enough." I told him.

"No need your help." He stated and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah yeah, says the guy who got sick over some rainfall." I said sarcastically and he glared at me.

"Tch."

I smiled on the inside, knowing I've won this argument. Though despite everything, I was glad that his fever was gone and seeing him complain again somehow made me smile.

"...Welcome back, Feitan." I said those words without thinking and for just a second, he looked at me.

Then looked away. It was a different look that I've never seen before and it somehow... made my heart skipped a beat?

"...Tch." He quickly looked away and I couldn't help laughing.

I just shrugged the thought off and was just happy that his usual self is back.

Shalnark's POV

When I heard that Chrollo was sending me, Feitan and Y/n on a mission, a plan immediately formed in my mind.

I had one mission. Not Chrollo's mission, my own mission to get these two idiots together. Why? Because I want to see my friend out of his miserable, boring life. 

I thought it would be simple, but I was wrong. The mission would take a week to complete and who would've thought that instead of having a cute couple by the end of the mission, I was instead sent to the mental hospital.

"Danchou wants the three of us to investigate the auction route," I explained as we walked along the dirt road.

It took me four days to find them inside the game and I thought that I'll be searching for them individually, but turns out they were together in an abandoned house. How cute~

"Only the three of us?" Y/n asked.

"Yep."

"That sounds easy." She smiled.

Feitan scoffed. "Tch."

"See?" I smiled. "Even Feitan agrees."

"He didn't say anything." Y/n pointed out.

"I've known him for years, that's practically a speech."

Y/n laughed and Feitan glanced over his shoulder. I saw the hint of jealousy in his eyes as he watched me and Y/n laughing together.

This mission of mine is going pretty well!

On our first day of the mission, the weather was nice, birds were singing and the road was peaceful. This calls for the perfect opportunity to carry out my mission.
