Feitan's POV

Blood...

There was blood.

Not much, just enough. Enough to stain the cold stone floor beneath her. Enough to make something inside me... snap.

Y/n, she lay motionless against the wall, her wrists still bound by a chain that left a mark on her wrist. The tape had already been ripped from her mouth as if she's been fighting her life to remove it. Her breathing was so faint I almost couldn't hear it.

Golden strands of Nen flickered weakly around her body. Then, one by one, they began disappearing.

My eyes narrowed. Someone had done this, someone touched her and tortured her even worst than what I did to my victims. One moment I was about to kill another victim, the next I got teleported here in this room.

Every person standing before me instinctively stepped back. One man laughed nervously, as if he knows the danger that entered the room.

"So... a Spider finally arrived." He tried to be brave.

I looked at him, nothing else. For some reason, just only by looking, my body felt... hot. Not hot, but burning. My blood felt like it was boiling beneath my skin. The sensation spread through every vein the longer I see Y/n in her current state.

What... is this? What is happening? Why couldn't I think?

Every time I looked at Y/N... the feeling only became stronger. It was unfamiliar and uncontrollable.

One of the men charged first. I didn't even need to think, my body just moved on it's own. The next thing the man knew was his head rolling across the floor before his body realized he already died.

The second attacker screamed. Too slow, my sword already pierced straight through his chest. One by one they kept coming, and I kept moving without a thought.

The warehouse echoed with steel, screams, blood and the sound of bones cracking. None of it mattered, even though those things usually brings joy. This time, all I could think of was to get to Y/n and save her.

One survivor stumbled backwards, fear was written all over his face.

"W-wait!" He begged but I did not care.

His arm flew across the room, then his other.  As I was about to decapitate his head, a metallic click echoed through the room. The floor beneath me glowed, strange symbols ignited around my feet.

I immediately jumped back, but it was too late. Massive iron pillars eruped from the ground. Chains shot outward like living snakes, wrapping around my arms, making me drop my sword, then throughout my whole body.

Every movement became heavier. The chains weren't restraining me, they were compressing and I frowned. For them to use a dirty trick to capture me made me feel stupid to fall for their trap.

The pressure increased and the air itself seemed to crush against my body. The floor beneath my feet cracked, not because I was breaking it but because the force pressing me downward was that immense.

"Told you this will work! I bet even Uvogin cannot escape this!" One of the remaining men laughed hysterically as if he was expecting this. "The Compression Prison! Especially made for all the Spiders and even the strongest won't be able to escape!"

The guy confidently walked forward, a smug smile plastered on his face.

"We studied every Phantom Troupe member, you're the fastest so we built a prison that doesn't stop speed but crushes movement itself. The more you struggle, the more the pressure will crush you. I bet Uvogin won't last a second in this prison."

I tried pulling the chains, but the pressure doubled and more chains wrapped around me. I heard my bone breaking and pain shot through both of my arms. But none of it mattered because all I could think of was saving Y/n.

My eyes found her across the room. She looked smaller, weaker and her Nen is almost gone. The leader finally revealed himself and he stepped forward, looking down at me as if I was easy to crush.

"You've already lost." He spoke. "By the time we're finished, she won't have enough Nen left to survive."

My heartbeat became louder, each beat echoed through my ears as I imagined losing Y/n forever. These past weeks felt like I was being tortured for not seeing her. Now that I do, will I lose her again?

Y/N's POV

"...Feitan..." My voice barely escaped my lips.

My body refused to move, even breathing felt difficult. The room spun as I slowly forced my eyes open, everything was blurry. I barely managed to summon Feitan the moment I broke free from the shackles.

Though they were expecting this, they purposely let me escape the shackles because they wanted me to summon a Spider so they can test out the prison if it can capture a member.

When my sight became clear, I saw Feitan kneeling with one knee pressed against the cracked floor. Massive black chains wrapped around his arms, legs and torso, squeezing tighter every second.

His breathing was uneven, blood dripped from his fingertips and the chains were slowly crushing him.

"No..." I tried to stand, but my legs gave out immediately. I collapsed back onto the cold floor and my Nen felt... empty.

Like someone had scooped pieces of it away. This last few days had been hell for me, but seeing Feitan in that state doesn't even compare to it.

I looked at my trembling hands, the golden aura that usually surrounded them was barely visible. They've been sucking out my Nen in order to summon my dead father. I have no idea if they succeeded, but judging with my situation, I could only guess they did.

"Feitan..." I called out his name again, this time my voice a bit louder.

He heard me while he was struggling to fight the chains. He slowly lifted his head and for a brief second, our eyes met. A sickening crack echoed through the warehouse as the chain around his body tightened, blood spluttering out and I could see the pain in his eyes.

"No!" My heart stopped, I didn't even realized that I found the strength to stand on one of my leg.

The men surrounding him laughed.

"Well that was easy. One prison and the Spiders lose a limb."

Lucien stood calmly beside them. "Don't kill him yet. I want him to watch the moment your Nen disappears forever."

Lucien looked toward me. As if all those torture I've endured in the past wasn't enough. But thanks to that, I remembered what he told me before.

"Your father summoned beyond his limits."

"Your father discovered the final stage."

"He summoned more than anyone believed possible."
