I run into the bar with my guitar and insanely run into Alex. I know I'm late, I'm still dressed for my rugby game. Alex is the singer of our band, he's a real dick sometimes but he's an awesome singer.

I'm Bianca, I play guitar. I'm in this band with Alex, this guy named James the drummer, and this girl from my rugby team Jamie the bass player. James and Jamie and a couple, Alex and I kinda hate each other but that's a long story.

"Where were you? Where's Jamie?" Alex questions in his asshole demeanour.

"Where do you think?" I question sarcastically, pointing at my rugby uniform.

"It starts in ten minutes, you missed the practice." He scolds me.

"You worry about you and I'll play the guitar, alright." I snap and I push past him.

I run into the bathroom and pull on a pair of jeans and a Rolling Stones shirt. Jamie walks in behind me and starts to get changed while I brush my blonde hair.

"Alex being a dick?" She asks as she brushes out her own hair.

"Is the Pope Catholic?" I wonder and Jamie laughs.

"Nothing has changed then." Jamie nudges me with her elbow. "You ready for tonight?"

"Of course, if Alex sings the right song. Everything should be fine." I say. "Are you?" She flips her dark hair at me.

"Of course." She laughs. "Come on, before Alex gets his panties in a wad."

We walk out of the bar and past a calendar, 1983. Jesus, I'm twenty one already. I walk over to the others and put my guitar case down beside the stool I sit on. Alex looks over at me but I look over to James.

"Hey James." I say and he waves.

"Hi Bee, how are you?" He asks and I half smile.

"I want to get this over with." I say and he laughs.

"Drinking like a fish today, aren't we?" Jamie asks Alex.

I look over to him, he's downing what seems to be his fourth shot of Jack. This is what I was worried about, Alex gets drunk and plays the wrong song. I order my own shit and down it quickly.

"Just a drink for stage fright, Jamie. Don't worry so much." Alex says under the veil of alcohol.

"That's bullshit, Bee and James get stage fright." Jamie jerks her thumb back at me.

I look over to James as I down my second shot, that's enough for stage fright. James downs two shots as well. James and I do get stage fright, but our limit for shots before a performance.

James twirls dumb sticks in his fingers, he has a habit of breaking them in the heat of them moment. I smile and take one from him.

"Bee." He complains and I laugh.

"Don't break them this time." I nudge his shoulder.

James and I have known each other for years, we grew up in Brooklyn together. He was originally friends with my twin Bruce, Bruce and I are close and were inseparable as kids, we shared a lot of friends, James being one of them. James and I originally started this band in about the eighth grade, Alpha, I'd been playing the guitar for years at that point. Jamie moved to Brooklyn in the tenth grade, we played rugby together and kinda hated each other for a while. We became friends and she became our bassist, we fought for the guitarist position because we can both play them (I'm just better at guitar). Alex had gone to the same high school as well but he was a year a head of us, he was still a dick. In eleventh grade, he joined up as a singer. That's Alpha as it stands now.
