Ashley and I just landed in Greece. We're in the bus that's taking us to the hotel. Greece is so beautiful."It's so pretty here!" Ash says and I smile.
"It really is." I say. "I've always wanted to come here. I never thought I'd be coming to play rugby, I always dreamed it but never thought it would ever happen."
"Dreams come true I guess, Mrs. Rockett." She says and I narrow my eyes.
Rikki...I miss him so much. I hate leaving him and I wish he could be here. God I wish he could be here! I know he has his career to think about and I know that he needs to be in the studio. He's gotta work on his record, then he'll have to go on tour while I'm at home. I guess we're like two ships passing in the night. We're almost never home together.
We get back to the hotel, Ashley and I are sharing a room. Ashley goes straight to the shower and I flop right on the bed. God I hate flying. It kills me. I look up from the pillow and see the phone sitting on the bedside table. I reach for it and dial the number to Rikki's.
"Hello?" His voice answers sleepily.
Shit! Its like midnight there. I woke up my husband.
"Hey baby, I forgot the time difference. I'm sorry I woke you up." I say.
"Bianca! No, don't worry about it! I miss you so much." Rikki says and I frown.
"I miss you to, babe." I sigh. "I'm starting to think I shouldn't have come."
"Bee, don't say that. It's only two weeks, right?" He says and I nod (I forgot that he can't see me). "Before you know it you'll be back before you know it with that gold metal!"
"I can't wait to come home." I admit.
"I can't wait for you to come home, baby girl." Rikki says and I smile. "You sound beat."
"You're talking?" I wonder and he laughs. "You should go to bed."
"Only if you do." He bargains.
"Yeah I will." I promise. "G'night Rikki."
"Good morning, Bee." Rikki laughs. "I love you, baby girl."
"I love you to, Rikki." I say as I hang up the phone.
CC and I stand in the airport being eighteen, we would've been nineteen that May. I cross my arms like the stubborn kid and my twin laughs.
"You mad, Bee?" CC wonders and I scowl.
"I can't believe you're leaving me here." I state and he smiles.
"You have to finish school, Bianca. You're too smart not to." He tells me and I sigh. "Besides, mom and dad are pissed at me for dropping out. They need you to finish school. Someone needs to give George a run for his money for the favourite child position."
"You're such an asshole." I mumble and he laughs.
"Be good, Bianca." CC tells me.
"Right back at you, twin." I say and he hugs me.
"Go win a couple state championships for me." He says and I laugh.
"Now you're speaking my language." I say.
"I'll see you at Christmas." CC tells me.
"I'll hold you to that." I state and he smiles.
"Flight 256 to Los Angeles is now boarding." A voice comes over the PA and CC picks up his suitcase.
"That's me, Bianca." He says and I hug my twin.
"Light Los Angeles on fire, would you?" I ask and he laughs.
"I will. I love you, Bee." CC tells me.
"I love you to, Loser." I say and he laughs.
CC turns on his heel and marches towards the boarding area. I smile as he walks away then I frown. I'm going to miss my stupid twin.
Do I miss CC now? He makes me so angry sometimes but it's creeping close to a month of us not talking to each other. We went from talking about literally everything to nothing.
Do I actually miss him?
