Three Years LaterI sit in the airport, waiting for my stupid twin. He was supposed to be here half an hour ago. I should just said I'd catch a cab and meet him at his apartment. I had shipped my car and most of my clothes and crap earlier on, I just have a couple of suitcases with me now.
I blow my bangs out of my face and tilt my head back.
James and Jamie had gotten hitched and moved to the suburbs, Christ. I never pictured James with a white picket fence, considering he ran the street with me and Bruce when we were kids. Bruce, he changed his name when he moved up here. CC Deville, he calls himself now. I thought about picking up the last name, maybe if I get into a band here. Alex and I ended up fighting to the point where we couldn't even work together about two years ago, he left the band.
"Bianca!" A voice calls.
I look to see my twin brother smiling and waving at me. I stand up as he runs over. CC is about half an inch shorter than me and hates it. He dresses like a girl and has bleach blond hair that stands in fifty different directions. He's thirteen minutes older than me and he never once has let me forget it. I hug my brother tightly and he picks me up off the ground.
"You don't eat enough, Bee." He tells me when he puts me down, poking at my stomach.
"I eat tons and stay skinny." I try to explain but he shakes his head in his normal big brother way.
"I don't believe, Bee." CC tells me grabbing one of my bags.
CC drives us back to his apartment and helps me carry my bags up stairs. He asks me about our parents and why I decided to move away.
"They were driving me insane, like wanting me to go back to school and get a degree I can use. 'What are you going to do with a degree is music theory and art?' Jesus, I was done with it. I should've left when you did." I admit and he shakes his head.
"No." CC tells me in that big brother way.
We catch up for a while and I tell him that me staying here is only temporary.
"Bee, stay as long as you want." He keeps telling me. "But if you stay here long, one of us is going to have to learn how to cook."
"Fair enough, CC." I laugh and he looks at his watch.
"Shit, I gotta go meet up with my band." CC sighs.
"I'm going to go look for a job." I tell him and he smirks.
"Don't get lost now, it's not exactly Brooklyn, y'know?" He laughs and I nod.
"You worry too much." I say as he walks out the door.
I find a mall and decided that probably the best place to start looking for a job. I wander around for a while before stumbling upon a record store. I walk in and start to look around. I wonder if they're hiring here.
I talk to the manager and as it turns out, they need a work and I start tomorrow. I continue to familiarize myself with the store and where everything is. I see a section of Mötley Crüe records and start to flip through them.
I love Mötley Crüe, I'm not good at picking favourites but they're definitely up there. Copies after copies of Too Fast For Love, Shout At The Devil, and Theatre Of Pain fill the section.
That's about the time that someone clears their throat. I look up to see a guy about six foot with long dark hair standing at the other side of the display. He looks oddly familiar but I can't place him. I study him for a while before he talks.
"I'm doing a random survey about what people's names are." He says matter of factly and I half smile. "What's yours?"
"I'm Bianca." I say and his eyes grow in size.
He kinda smiles and nods before turning and walking out the store to a couple of blond guys. I look over at them, they're clearly discussing something. They all seem familiar and I don't know why. I shake my head and go back to looking at records.
"Twin wasn't wrong, there's some fucked up people here." I say to myself.
Rikki
"CC is going to kill us if we're late again." Bobby tells us as we walk through the mall.
"He's barley over five and a half feet tall." Bret says. "He can't hurt us."
We walk past the record store and I glance in. A pretty blonde is looking at the records, she looks like that guitar playing broad from the bar. What was her name? Bee? Bianca! That was her name. She stands in ripped blue jeans, leather boots, and a Queen shirt. She looks through the records and smiles slightly to herself.
I didn't notice I stopped walking until I looked up to see Bret and Bobby standing about twenty feet away from me. They walk back over to me and follow my gaze.
"What are we looking at?" Bobby wonders.
"Guitar playing blondie." Bret smiles and looks at me. "You're still crazy about her."
"We don't even know if it's her." I say and Bobby smiles.
"I'll be right back." He says.
"What the hell are you gonna do?" I wonder and he laughs.
"Ask her her name, dumbass." Bobby calls, walking into the record store.
I hate it when he does this. Bret and I watch as they interact. She's looking at him like he's crazy but by the looks of it, she answered his questions. Bobby walks back over to us and she looks back at us, confused.
"Her name's Bianca and she speaks with a Brooklyn accent. It's your girl, Rik." Bobby smiles. "You going to go talk to her?"
"CC will kill us if we're late again." I remind him and he shakes his head.
"He'll understand." Bret says pointing me in the direction of the record store.
CC will understand this, I mean it's CC.
I walk into the record store and Bianca is still flipping through records. She hums softly to herself as she flips through Def Leppard's section. I start to flip through the section opposite to her and try to fit in, I feel Bobby and Bret laughing their asses off from the hall.
"Your friends, the laughing jackasses out there, send you in?" A voice asks and I frantically look up.
Bianca's eighty percent devil twenty percent angel, crystal blue eyes look up at me. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's her. She smiles, challenging me. I half smile and nod.
"Yeah, that's a pretty accurate description of them, actually." I nervously laugh and she smirks.
"I know you three, I don't know how but I know you." Bianca admits.
"Yeah, I know you to. You're Bianca, you play guitar for Alpha." I smile and she lights up.
"Paris." She half whispers and I nod.
"Yeah." I smile. "Are you guys trying to get a contract out here?" And she shakes her head.
"No, we're not exactly together anymore. James and Jamie got hitched and moved to the suburbs. Alex and I could say in the same room with each other. I moved out here to be closer to my brother." Bianca admits. "What about you, make it big yet?" She smiles and I laugh.
"Working on it." I say and she nods.
"No Matt?" She questions, counting heads in her head.
"Matt couldn't take it out here, he moved back to Pensilvania." I explain and she nods. "We got a better guitar player though. Speaking of which, he'll kill us if we're late again. Can we meet up later tonight?"
"Yeah, sounds good. Just where and when?" Bianca wonders.
"The Rainbow on uh, Sunset. We'll have the new guitar player with is but he's cool. You'd like me. Say nine?" I say and she nods.
"I'll be there." Bianca smiles.
I walk back out to Bret and Bobby and they smile.
"So?" Bret hints.
"She's drinking with us." I smile.
"Better hope CC doesn't take a liking to her." Bobby nudges my arm.
"God, I hope not." I say as we walk out of the mall.
