I wake up on the floor of my living room. I must've fallen asleep on the couch again. My shoulders hurt, my legs hurt, my everything hurts. I groan and push myself and Rikki laughs.
"C'mere baby." He says, pulling me up onto his lap. "Whats wrong?" He wonders into my neck.
"I hurt." I sigh and he laughs.
"From rugby the other day?" Rikki wonders.
"And I just rolled off the couch." I smile and he kisses my neck.
"Might've pushed you." He laughs.
I make him look at me and he laughs harder. I playfully punch his shoulder and he just laughs again. Rikki puts his hands on my hips, running his thumbs along my bones that point out. I hate how skinny I am sometimes, everyone thinks I'm unhealthy. Rikki kisses my face, neck, and hair making me laugh.
"Feel better yet, Honey." Rikki smiles and I nod.
"A lot." I smile and brush my lips on his.
"Fucking tease." Rikki laughs before kissing me again.
We kiss on the red leather couch for a long time. I'm not sure how long but I know that I'm straddling my boyfriend and hoping my brother doesn't walk in. I'm really not sure how he'd take it to be honest. Bret and Bobby would make fun of us, Jamie would say how cute we are and other shit, Ana wouldn't say a lot, Robyn would laugh at us.
Rikki's thumbs run up and down the front of my boney hips. I kiss his neck, leaving my head on his shoulder. I hear his laugh and he wraps me up, pulling me closer to him. My head collides with the structure of the couch with a thump. I sit down on his lap and Rikki laughs before kissing my forehead.
"Are you alright?" He wonders, running his thumb across the forehead.
"Yeah, I'm alright." I smile and Rikki starts to kiss my neck.
"You know, I've never met a girl like you." Rikki says into my neck. "You're the toughest of the tough yet the sweetest person I've ever met."
"Really?" I wonder.
"Yeah." I feel his smile against my neck.
In all honesty, I don't see myself as a nice person. I'm kinda an asshole. But if Rikki sees me as that, let him. I mean stranger things have happened. In his eyes, I may be sweet as sugar.
"Sweet as sugar tough as nails. If good girls as made of sugar and spice, you're made of whiskey and ice." Rikki smiles at me.
We kiss again for a long time before the door opens, we should've stopped. I guess CC isn't quite used to me with Rikki's tongue down my throat. I look up to see CC with his hands over his eyes, Bret and Bobby follow close behind him, Jamie comes running down the hall and nearly runs Bobby over. The bassists and the singer laugh at us while CC tries to navigate without opening is eyes again. I go to get off Rikki but he pulls me into his lap in a sitting position.
"Sorry CC!" Rikki calls but laughs.
We all talk and drink for a while, Rikki still holding me on his lap, kissing my shoulder every once in a while. The Jamie lights up.
"Bee, you play guitar right?" She wonders with a smile.
"You play guitar?" CC jokes and I smile.
"Only better than you." I say and they boys laugh.
"Break my heart, sweetheart." CC flips me off.
"Right back at you, honey." I smile.
"Back to earth, Bee. One flanker has a band that needs a bass and guitar player." Jamie explains.
"Is it queen cunt flanker?" I wonder.
"No, no, it's Ashley. She plays drums, you wanna audition with me?" Jamie hints and I shrug.
"Why not?" I say and she smiles.
"Well I mean someone's gotta show that Poison band how to play." Jamie laughs and I smile.
"Hey!" The boys complain and we laugh again.
We talk for a while longer, if you couldn't have guessed I'm still on Rikki's lap mainly because he has a grip around my waist that I don't think I can shake.
"So did you and Bee ever go on a real date or was it just, let's do it in the back of your car?" Bret wonders.
"Uhh.." Rikki laughs.
"Answer carefully, Rockett." CC warns.
"We watched The Breakfast Club." He says matter of factly.
"Yeah! I'd count it!" I laugh.
"I don't!" Jamie cries.
"You get a say?" I wonder.
"Yes! As best friend, I get a say." She says matter of factly. She points past me to Rikki. "You're going to take my best friend out properly."
"Okay, okay." He surrenders and buried his head in my back. "And here's me thinking CC was going to be the worst part." We laugh. "I guess we're going out, baby."
"I guess so." I smile.
"Let's go." Rikki grabs my hand and pulls me out the door.
"Bee, don't fuck up this time!" CC yells as the door closes.
Shit! Fucking twin! I'm going to murder him. Rikki looks over to me.
"What was that about?" He wonders.
"CC thinks it's funny that I'm not good at flirting and crap like that. I'm good at being a girlfriend and that stuff. Not beginnings of relationships." I explain and he smiles.
"You're doing fine to me, baby girl." Rikki kisses my forehead.
I love him. I never once thought I'd say it but I'm in love with someone. Rikki is the only guy I could even think about loving. He makes me feel....I can't put it into the proper words. The closest thing I can think of is that grand slam feeling. That bottom of the ninth, bases are loaded, two outs, Yankees are down by three, and you know the next one is going out of the park. Touch the stars, over the moon, grand slam kinda feeling. Or way back in '51 when Bobby Thomson was up there swing, hit into the lower deck of the left-field. The Giants win the pennant! That kinda feeling.
I love you Rikki Rockett.
