Make Ups or Break Ups

The four of us came to a decision at the end of the week. We all chose rugby and we fly out in a week for a tour of Europe for all of the summer and into the fall. We've been packing up for the past week. The thing that I think is bugging CC more than anyone is the fact that I haven't really talked to Rikki.

I'm packing up my room because I leave tomorrow. My brother is standing in my doorway.

"That's for putting up with me the past couple months." I tell him and he smiles.

"Please it was a pleasure having you, Bee." CC says. "I just can't believe you're leaving me again."

"CC, things are finally coming together. Besides you leave on tour in a month anyways." I say and he nods.

"And you're stealing my girlfriend." CC laughs and I smile.

"And you're stealing my....Rikki." I mumble and he frowns.

"You know he feels like shit, right?" He says. "And I know you do to."

"Have you been listening to Bret about that twin telepathy thing?" I wonder and he shakes his head.

"No I just know you, Bee." CC sighs. "Please talk to him before you leave."

"CC, he'll forget about me as soon as you guys go on tour." I say as I put a picture of the two of us in my suitcase. "Maybe we weren't meant to be."

"Bianca, that's the thing! The two of you are perfect for each other." He assures me.

"I thought so to but--"

"But nothing Bee, he is in love with you." My twin tells me. "At least think about it, okay Bee?"

"Yeah, I'll think about it." I agree.

It's the dead of the night and I'm sitting in the pitch. I had gotten into the tool shed and gotten some of the tackling pads out. CC should be proud that he taught me to pick locks. I look up at the dark sky while I chug water.

"It's late. For someone who's leaving tomorrow morning." A voice says behind me and I turn back to see Rikki. "I mean shouldn't you at least be training?"

"Want me to train, Rik?" I asks as I stand up. "I'll train but you're gonna help me."

I pick up the pad and throw it at him. Rikki loops his arm in the straps. I stand him at a certain spot.

"Y'know I'm happy for you, right?" He tells me and I nod.

"Stand with your left slightly behind your right and bend your knees." I say and he does as I say. "I'm happy for you as well, I mean leaving for tour."

I start to pace out about fifteen feet.

"I miss you, Bianca." Rikki says and I look at my feet.

"Do you trust me enough for me to go?" I wonder.

"I trust you, I just don't trust other guys." He admits.

"You should worry about them. All you should worry about is me. I love you and I'd never cheat on you, you know that right?" I ask and turn around.

"I know but I can't trust them around you." Rikki says.

"You make it sound like I'm some kid that needs to be protected." I say. "Tuck your head and don't try to catch yourself."

"What?" He asks and his eyes grow.

"Just say you agree." I sigh and he half smiles.

"Yeah okay. I'm trusting you, Bee." Rikki agrees.

I run at Rikki and drop my shoulder. I drive him backwards for about five feet before hooking his leg and planting him on the ground. I sit on my knees beside him as Rikki sits up.

"Did you hit your head?" I ask kinda worried.

"No, I'm alright." He promises me. "Now I know what the broads feel."

"Yeah really." I say and his hands cup my face.

Rikki presses his lips to mine and I find myself kissing him back. I pull away when I feel tears rolling down my face. When I try to pull away Rikki holds me close and puts his forehead against mine. His thumbs wipe away the tears and he kisses my nose.

"I love you." He mumbles. "I always will."

"We won't see each other for months, Rikki." I say quietly.

"It doesn't matter, we'll make it work." Rikki promises me.

"Can you trust those other guys that long?" I wonder and he smiles.

"I don't know about other guys but I know I can trust my baby girl." He tells me. "Do you trust me?"

"Of course, Rikki." I smile. "I love you."

The next morning at five am my rugby group, James, and Poison stand in the vacant parking lot with a grey tour bus waiting to haul Team USA to the airport. This is officially the earlier I've ever seen Bret Michaels awake. Jamie and James are hugging each other and I know Jamie is crying. CC and Ashley are in a similar situation. Jilly and Bret are arguing and I'm almost sure that Bobby is debating on sleeping in the car. I wrap my arm around Rikki's torso and I feel him kiss my forehead.

"Six months without seeing you, how will I ever survive?" I mumble into his chest and he laughs.

"I'm more worried me not seeing you for six months." Rikki admits and he moves my hair away from my neck. "But in case you forget." He clips something around my neck.

I look down to see a gold chain with a charm that reads Rikki's on it. I smile down at it before looking up at my boyfriend.

"I love you." I remind him and go up on my toes to kiss him.

We kiss for a while and his hands tangle in my hair.

"Johannesson, we've gotta go." Jilly calls and we pull away.

Rikki kisses my face all over and then my lips one more time before letting me go.

"I love you, Bianca." He says and I smile.

"I love you, Rikki." I say.

I hug everyone one more time before climbing into the bus. We all go back to the back window and smush our faces in it. We wave and make faces at our boys as the buss pulls away. We don't dare move until they're out of our line of sight.
